"The Storm Brigade - Seiko Comes Home"
North of the Land of Snow
After giving a few hours for all the new recruits to get their things ready, it seems the group is at last ready to headout. Taki has gotten everyone to come outside and wait, and, once they are all there, it's finally time to head…oddly enough to the northern coast. It seems they will be leaving the continent and heading above known shinobi countries toward the uppermost part of the globe itself.
As the group marches forward, it would seem Seiko has fallen back into duty and is assisting Taki in directing the recruits on their path forward. Were it not for her training with the Storm Brigade, she's not certain she could do this because, while she is playing the part, she basically has to purposely lead a bunch of innocent young people who listened to Taki's words to their deaths when the team closes the trap upon finding Kano and making it to the hideout.
Still, this kind of mission requires one to ignore any feelings of empathy. It's almost like an ANBU mission in nature of the darkness it entails and what must be done. Seiko just has to smile and joke around with Taki and the others as she always would and endure the guilt of what she must do until the battle lines are drawn.
Sanda is just sorta… There. She doesn't particularly care about what they're doing, though she does realize that they're on the move. She should probably send a message to Kizoku about this… The girl would hope that there's a chance to slip away as she hovered nearer the back of the group, marching along towards the north. She also couldn't help but wonder what was going on, even if she didn't care. Curiosity is a disease… And then to sort of make the journey interesting, she was looking around to see if she could find the smallest Jounin ever. Aka: Hige.
If the new recruits didn't fight they wouldn't die. He'd have to pass that along later to Kizoku. For now however Hige and the henge'd Konsho are just moving with the group, Hige still looking bored and somewhat bloodthirsty. The last part isn't a stretch at least. Kizoku however was watching from afar and should Hige see Sanda was trying to get around to sending him a message he'd give a nondescript shake of his head to indicate not yet. As much as Seiko had helped them so far Hige also kept an eye on her from afar, just in case she decided to turn on them.
It would take a while of walking, but the crew would finally reach the coast of the country and the ship that is waiting for them. Taki signals and calls out, "Everyone climb on board and find a bunk below deck. We should reach the training grounds by morning." He hops onto the vessel then and keeps an eye on everyone boarding the ship. Nothing suspect has hapened so far, but he knows better than to not sleep with one eye open.
Seiko notices that look Hige gives her. She wonders if he'll ever actually trust her… Maybe if they survive this ordeal, which she's still not THAT hopeful about, though she did manage to master a new jusu before they left Kumogakure that she hopes will be o some help.
When they reach the ship, she hops up on the railing on the deck and watches everyone boarding. "Try not to bunk too close to Taki. He eats a lot of beans," she suggests with sarcasm as her eyes scan person to person, mainly just making sure these aren't current Storm Brigade members since this could very well be a trap itself if the were.
Sanda barely saw Hige's headshake, but she would listen to him for the time being, just trudging along with the rest of the group and watching the Konoha shinobi carefully for a sign. Her gaze would shift to Taki when he starts yelling instructions, and she would just sigh faintly. "At least we'll finally be doing something," she mutters to herself, making her way onto the ship behind the rest of the group. She'd probably be one of the last ones to board, though, the girl not willing to shove her way to the front and pick the best cabin. Too much effort.
Hige seems entirely bored with this whole taking a ship ride thing. "I thought we were killing shinobi," he says aloud to anyone nearby. Hey can't hurt to be a little vocal can it? Poor Kizoku would have to wait till night to find a book or cranny to sleep in on board it would seem.
As Hige starts talking about killing shinobi again, Taki look his way and says, "You know what sounds like a good idea? Taking a bunch of unprepared recruits to go fight shinobi because some impatient moron didn't want to go through the proper training process… Either get on the ship and come to the training grounds without complaining or stay on the shore and go get yourself killed going after the villages without a plan. We screw around a lot here, but one thing we don't screw around with is following orders." He then looks back to the other recruits, making sure everyone else is getting along peacefully.
Seiko peers at Hige as he gets vocal again, wondering if he plans on getting kicked off the ship so she and Sanda have to do this alone… or he could wind up breaking their cover by starting a fight with Taki… This guy and Hiei must get along really well. Shaking her head, the Sasaki glances around to check on some of the other recruits.
Sanda just climbs aboard the ship silently, glancing over at Seiko briefly before she would make her way to the bunks. She would have to choose carefully… Maybe if she was lucky, she would find one that would be close to Hige so they could discuss things at night. And even if they couldn't, she could at least do one-way messages if they were close enough. "I wonder where they even got this ship…" she would say aloud to no one in particular.
Hige falls silent, seeming chastised by Taki's words. No, he had no intentions of fighting the man here and now, though part of him has wondered if he could simply extract the information. Instead he lets Taki think that Hige is ashamed of his words and he just follows the others up the ramp to the ship. Konsho has already run up, seeming excited for the boat ride! He does normal dog stuff, just looking excited and letting people pet him and such.
The ship ride is rather long but uneventful other than people telling stories and such. One particular Storm Brigade member tells Sanda a pretty normal story about buying the ship off a merchant, but another tells her they killed a group of pirates for it and used their skin to patch the sails. The stories about that seem to get more ridiculous the more of them are told, which they would keep doing as long as she would listen.
On the deck of the ship, Taki and Seiko sit for most of the night looking up and the sky and reminiscing. One might wonder just how cold Seiko can be if she's actually not turning on Hige and Sanda yet is sitting here talking like she and Taki are still best buds.
As dawn breaks, untold miles north of the continent most of the hidden villages are connected told, the ship finally docks at an island. On first glance, there seems to be absolutely nothing in this place but rigid terrain and the few bits of wildlife that can survive in such a place, meaning their hideout is probably, well… hidden.
Sanda would raise a brow at some of the tales, but she did listen to them and give her own comments on their tales. Something along the lines of, "interesting" while the more incredible stories would get a raised brow and an eyeroll. After she heard one-too-many for her taste, though, she would stand up and just start walking around the ship, apparently a bit restless. She decided to explore it a bit, as she knew a lot about boats and the like, and she wondered if she'd be able to maybe find something useful… That said, unless stopped, she would start to explore areas beyond the bunks.
Sanda would explore until she felt tired, then she would just pass out until she was forced to wake up when the ship docked. The hustle and bustle of the others was really what snapped her awake, and she would get up quickly to head to the deck and see if she could see anything interesting.
The ship ride would find Hige and Konsho in a dark corner on deck. Though they didn't actually talk out loud the two were having conversations with their body language and many signals that they had spent years working on. Hige did not sleep however though Konsho did for a short time. One of them should be rested when things come to a head. Once they were wherever they were going the two disembarked and Hige looked around curiously. Kizoku had long since left the ship again. Now they had to hope that between his nose and the information they had via the stars, they would be able to send Kizoku off and get him back in decent time.
As the ship docks, Taki hops up and walks into the cabin of the ship, ringing a bell to wake up all the recruits. "Alright, boys and girls, we're at your new home until you've earned your way as full fledged members of the Storm Brigade!" he calls out. "Get your butts up and let's go!" He turns back around then and heads back onto the deck, signaling two of the other members to let down the ramp. It takes a few moments, but one by one the new recruits begin to file out of the ship and onto the shores of the rocky island, all looking a little confused since there are no visible buildings on the islands surface.
"Follow me or you'll probably never get inside!" he yells out then starts marching down a trail that winds through rocks and crevices for quite a while until they reach the mouth of a cave that is hidden by the rock formations when one looks from any side of the island. It might even be difficult to spot it from the sky, so Kizoku had better be on his game when he goes and reports. "Inside, folks, It's really not as scary as it seems once you get in there. You'll even get to meet the boss!"
Seiko watches all the recruits as they file toward the cave. "This is pretty cool. It's a different training ground from when I was here. I'm sure they've got all sorts of awesome exercises for you here that even I didn't have when I started," she says with a grin, seeming exciting about it. In reality, she's informing Hige and Sanda that they're going to need to examine the layout of the place as they go because she's never been here. Most likely this place was acquired after she was taken to Kirigakure since Kano probably assumed the location of the last training grounds would get tortured out of her.
Once all the recruits are off the ship, she glances back at it, briefly considering the merits of poking a hole in the ship with a jutsu to be sure no one they don't want to escape can get away. Then again that's basically just recruits. Most of the Storm Brigade have ways of getting away underwater. The ship should probably be preserved in case one of them gets seriously wounded… That decision made, she turns and starts to walk toward the cave with the rest of the pack.
Sanda sort of eyed the bell as she passed Taki and just rubbed at her eyes, trying to wake up and feel a bit more alert. Once again, she would hang back until she saw Hige so that she could keep near-ish him for any sort of a signal. In the meantime, she looked at the apparently barren island, unable to help but wonder where they were headed. It was definitely interesting… Sanda followed the crowd, blinking at some of the things she heard. 'So we get to meet the boss? I wonder if that's some sort of precaution… Though I guess it's a pretty standard recruitment thing…' she thinks to herself.
She does keep a close eye out for things, studying her surroundings. Whether or not it's because of Seiko's warning… Well, who knows. She might just be overly cautious/curious about the whole thing, after all! "Pretty impressive that they managed to hide it so well like this…." she comments, again to no one in particular. She just likes talking aloud, or something…
Hige is looking around the island silently as the others head off and in the end he follows at the tail end, motioning Sanda to his side with the henge'd Konsho trailing along. Once they reach the entrance to the base he side steps in front of Sanda and pretends to be trying to comfort her but instead he whispers "Behind you, twenty feet in between two trees with the small bush in front. Tell him to go now."
Once word was passed Kizoku would be on his way at high speed to inform the others of the location. They'd been warned to expect notice just as such from the ninken so that both Konoha and Kumo could come take down this hideout. And hopefully leave someone alive to try and drill other information out of.
Hanami had been given orders to make a hasty departure for Konoha. It seemed there was some plan in the works against the group the Storm Brigade and she was to wait in Konoha in case assistance was needed. Since she had meant to make a trip to Konoha well…quite some time ago it seemed like a good opportunity. Riding Honi, her rather large wolf, she arrived in Konoha as requested and made sure she was available in case word arrived.
Taiki soon received word that they had a possible location for the Storm bregade. and quickly calls for a group to come with him. "Someone alert the Kumo delegation we're headed out," he calls as he grabs his kit. Soon he and his ninken arrive at the gates, waiting long enough for Hanami to arrive. "Okay, we have a location, but it's a fair distance away. We'll have to move fast." Once he gets affirmations from the team, he leads them off in the direction of where Hige is.
As one of the medics on hand when Taiki sent out a call for volunteers, Kenta immediately jumps on the opportunity, dropping everything else that he had on his plate. The young man had seen the type of damage that the Storm Brigade can do to their opponents, so there's no chance that he'd not lend his medical and seal expertise to the endeavor. Besides that fact, Hige is part of the mission and his friend had already been at the brink of death once due to this group. Kenta meets the rest of the quickly assembled team at Konoha's gates, sporting the set of full gear that he stash in the hospital in case situations like this arise.
Stepping into the cave entrance, the new recruits and the secret team from Kumogakure and Konohagakure step downward along a spiraling tunnel and would find that at the end of it there is basically an entire village underneath the surface of the island. It's complete with places to eat, places to train, libraries, barracks, and so on. For an underground hideout for an evil group that wants to wipe out the shinobi world, it's pretty extravagant. It's also already full of basically a village of recruits that are being trained around the clock in different shifts. Some are seen training. Others are seen relaxing during their off time, but there are probably dozens if not hundreds of recruits here that the team can prevent from becoming strong members of the Storm Brigade like those they've faced on missions. "Welcome home!" Taki calls out with a wide grin as he gestures at the place. "I'm sure you'll love it here."
"I couldn't have said it better myself," a deeper sounding voice comes as another man in a Storm Brigade cloak but a good bit taller and more muscular than Taki approaches, though he actually has blue hair as well just like Taki and Seiko. His ears are oddly pointed, elf-like almost. Perhaps part of his bloodline is of the Umahito clan, though another strong feature of his that stands out is a scar in the shape of an X between his eyebrows that stretches over most of his forehead and down to his high cheekbones. Some might consider him handsome despite these scars still.
As this new man looks over the recruits, his eyebrows suddenly lift as he spots an all-too-familiar face among them. A sly grin tugs at his lips as he asks, "Seiko, is that really you? I assumed that hot head Raikage had killed you on that island, but then I heard nasty rumors that you had betrayed us and become a Kumogakure shinobi… and yet here you are right back where you belong… And I do hope you still feel that way."
Seiko's eyes widen just a bit at the sight of this man. One might easily guess it before she makes any indication, but she does anyway. The Sasaki girl walks up and kneels in front of him to bow. "Kano-sama… I'm home… and I have intel for you from my months in Kumogakure" And there the identity of the main target, the leader of the Storm Brigade, has been established. Now… if only he fails to see through this ruse long enough not to kill them before the reinforcements can arrive.
Looking down at Seiko with scrutiny, Kano eyes her for a long moment before reaching down to pet her on the head then lift her hip to give her a hug. "We're glad you're home, Seiko, and glad you survived." There is a certain bit of question in his voice, as he is well aware it's possible she's here on behalf of Kumogakure. Still, he doesn't start to question right away. Instead, he says, "Come to my office. I'd like to knows this intel."
As they hug, Seiko seems a bit relieved, though she does look back at Hige to affirm he's aware of who the target he's after is now and has hopefully sent for their reinforcements. Of course, now she has to go into Kano's office, which she hopes she can get out of quickly enough so she's not in a closed room with him when he figures out she did, in fact, betray the Storm Brigade. Otherwise she's probably dead like she figured from the start.
When Hige gives the signal, Sanda would make a handseal, trying to make it as discreet as possible so that a single word would resound in Kizoku's mind. 'GO!' Of course, that relies on Kizoku realizing it was the signal, but they had discussed it prior to the trio entering the Storm Brigade recruitment compound, so the pup should be ready. Sanda would glance over to Hige and give an almost imperceptible nod to tell him she had sent off the message, and she would turn her attention back to her surroundings, trying to keep everything in her mind so that she could maybe assist the pup later in guiding them to the right place. The more she remembered, the more she could communicate. It's really a shame this communication was one-sided… Makes her wish she were a Yamanaka ;P
The sight of the compound, both its size and extravagance, makes Sanda's eyes widen a bit. How the heck did they manage to make a hideout… Like this..??? Seriously, it looked like they were sitting on goldmines or something with how fancy it looked. The girl would say, "It's hard to hate," when she heard Taki's comment, and then she blinked upon hearing a new voice. Her attention turned to the latest entrant, and she studied him curiously. Was this him? The leader? Whatever the case, Seiko confirmed the identity of the strange man (after a minor heart attack when the Sasaki was called out), and Sanda would spare a glance in Hige's direction. Then her eyes flickered back to the front. So Seiko was going to have some quality time with Kano? She certainly didn't envy the Sasaki… "What exactly are we supposed to do, though…" she wonders quietly to herself. "They didn't exactly tell us where to go -_-"
Kano? Well, he was at least around, that was a good sign for Hige and besides taking note of the scent and such he otherwise ignores the man. Up until he drags SEiko to his office. Oy. Konsho meanders around, making sure to try and get close enough to the office in a nonchalant way so as to spy on what they talk about. Hopefully. As for poor Kizoku, well, he'd be trying to find someone to hitch a ride on after his run. Hopefully he can rest up a bit before his arrival and the fight that is quite likely to be rather brutal.
Hanami got the alert and met up with Taiki and Kenta. She gave the two of them a nod, "Greetings. No worries there, I'm good with fast. Lets just hope we get there and nothing gets out of hand. Do we have a plan for arrival, or are we going to figure it out when we get there and get more information?" This of course she asks while on the run, no point in wasting time standing around chatting.
Taiki is indeed setting a very swift pace, though it's not really his top speed, since he knows others are likely slower than him. "I can't really plan anything until I know what is going on. We'll be meeting Hige-san ther, who will give us the information we need. I may just work off of any plan he has, since he is both first on scene and in charge of this investigation. We are the back-up, so tactically it would be best to follow the lead of the person already on the scene."
"That makes sense, Taiki-sama. Do we know how we're going to reach him? If he's still with that group, we won't be able to get close easily," Kenta asks with worry in his voice. The young man's keeping up as best as he can. He's surprisingly speedy for someone with such short legs, but the Inuzuka are on another level completely. As they travel, Kenta perform subtle checks on the placement of his equipment to make sure that everything's easily reached. He didn't really get enough time to do that when he was hurrying to meet up with the group.
After a between nod between Kano and Taki, Kano and Seiko walk off to one of the larger buildings, obviously a sort of administration building. This conversation is going to likely be incredibly tense, possibly a lot more tense than it looks like it's going to be by how casually the two are walking together. There'll most likely be a lot of questioning and Seiko giving Kano some intel that is mostly cadence he could have heard about in rumors anyway like Hiei's temper, Michiko's cool-headedness, Hiei and Sachiko's separation, and so on, nothing that'll actually compromise the safety of the village.
Basically gossip is being passed off as intel mixed in with idle conversation about old times and how nice the new training facility is. It should work for now, but it won't last more than a day. Hopefully the reinforcements can run really fast and get here a few hours quicker than it took the ship to get here since it wasn't in any hurry and they didn't run. Things could very easily go south for Seiko the longer the talk has to go on, but she's holding it together so far.
Meanwhile outside, Taki turns around and grins at the new recruits. "Your barracks are over there," he points out to them. "Those of you who get higher ranking in your testing will get better living quarters, so be prepared to do your best. Feel free to go put your things in your bunks and settle in. I'll be around in a little while to get you all started on the training process." For a group bent on destruction of all shinobi, they're actually pretty nice. Of course, every side of a war always believes they're the good guys.
Sanda would look at the direction Taki is pointing. "When do we get tested about that?" she would ask the man, glancing over to him. "… And also, what things would I even have.." she mutters. She had her travel pack that had some clothes, but that was about it… She ate the food that she took with her, and she sort of dumped any shinobi tools she might have had. Well, she would dump her pack of clothes on a bunk and just sit down on it, thinking over what kind of skills she might want to use during the mysterious test. That being said, she also kept an eye on Hige if he was nearby so that if there was another signal, she could act quickly. "These are some pretty cool facilities…" she would note idly. It was a shame that they might come to ruin… Maybe the reinforcements and Hige wouldn't destroy them completely? …
Hige doesn't give any other signals but does a fair amount of exploring on his own while the time allows. He's not sure how long it'll take the others to get back there so he has to make the best of it all. Konsho and Hige both keep a nose and ear out for Kizoku however and when the teams arrive they'll be lead straight to the entrance by Kizoku. But for now…he does as ordered, finds a bunk, then wanders off to do his own thing. Which is to say he explores more. While Konsho continues to listen in where he can.
Hanami nods to Taiki, "Fair enough, sure. Wanted to check. Of course I'm sure Hige has some ideas once we get there." Kenta asked her next question so she slips into silence, reflecting on things not to do with this mission. All the running she does, it's easy for that to happen, so her body moves easily through the motions, keeping pace with Taiki as they head out not even breaking stride once they come to the ocean and start running on water instead of land. She's not oblivious though, listening to anything going on around her.
Taiki looks up ahead and the ninken leading them. "Hige's ninken will help with that," he answers Kenta. "At the very least we'll be able to pass messages back and forth. If we can't, I'll assess the situation and make plans once we're there." Given their speed of travel, it probably would not be much longer before they get to where they need to be, so Taiki does a quick pat-down himself to ensure that everything is where it should be.
Kenta nods his head in understanding. "And if we can't get close to him easily, I can contact Hige as long as I can get him in my sight," the young man tells Taiki. He glances over to see how Hanami is handling the journey across the ocean, being a bit curious about the girl that he never met before until now. It's only a brief glance though, since most of his concentrate has to go to keeping up and staying on top of the water's surface. The ocean's currents make water walking much more difficult than across even a lake or river.
"Do you have to know every detail of your entire life before it happens?" Taki asks, peering over at Sanda and lifting an eyebrow. "Seiko sure knows how to pick his recruits… I'll reveal all that in good time. Until then just enjoy the facility. A lot of effort was put into making it." With that he turns and starts to walk off toward one of the other buildings while some of the other Storm Brigade members that aren't so talkative show the recruits to the barracks. After dealing with recruits all day, especially those two Seiko brought in, Taki is ready for some sake and a nap.
Inside the administration office, Seiko is still doesn't her best to jerk Kano around without actually giving away any vital information, but his questions are beginning to become more pointed. She gives some roundabout answers without actually giving the information her wants, which is starting to agitate him and make him a bit suspicious, so she starts making stuff up like fake changes in guard shifts that are supposed to happen and such. Just have to stall a little while longer…
"Yes, because the unexpected always turns out to go horribly wrong for me," Sanda retorts to Taki, crossing her arms and giving him a bit of a glare. "Fine, I'll wait," she mutters, turning to go look around. She doesn't move with Hige or Konsho, though, going off on her own to sort of get a better mental map when it came to the whole area. At least that's what she does after being shown the barracks area. The whole facility was still pretty amazing, and she wondered if maybe someday they could have this sort of setup for a Kumo base… Maybe not likely, considering whoever had this built was made of money… But still, one can dream.
After some time of exploring and evesdropping on the poor Seiko the group must finally be near. How can Hige tell? Well the scent of course. The island north of the shinobi lands is not a quick place to get to unless you /really/ want to /really/ fast. Luckily that's what they needed. The scent catches the noses of the Inuzuka and Konsho quickly trots off to meat the group as if, ya know, nothing big going on. Of course he doesn't look his normal self, but quite a bit smaller and not Konshoish at all. "Hi! Hige says to start the attack, but don't kill anyone that doesn't fight back. Most seem to be low level, but there's a few higher level in there so be careful!" And then he's off to lead them to the entrance.
Hanami starts slowing down once they near the island. So far so good, but now things were going to get dicey. As they get to land she focuses her senses, making sure to stay alert. Thankfully a Not-Quite-Konsho Konsho soon finds them and gives them the orders. Hitting the ground running indeed. She draws one of her chakrams and looks between the others as Konsho turns to lead the way, "Well, we good? Lets go kick some butt then." Even with Konsho around though she isn't going to let her guard down and works to keep her senses sharp.
Taiki can tell the difference by smell and simply nods as the dog comes closer. "Okay, fight with equivelent force. Some may fight either out of panic or out of being threatened. If they are, and they stop, secure them and move on. If someone uses lethal force, put them down hard and fast. Kenta, you will be pulling double duty. Protect those that give up, and get them away from the fighting. If either one of you run into the leaders, get my attention if you can. I may be busy with a leader of my own. Understood?" he whispers quietly once Konsho gives them Hige's instructions. Once everyone is ready, he follows Konsho up toward the entrance and slowly starts to focus chakra so he can be ready to attack once everyone's in position.
Kenta is ready when Konsho arrives to meet the small group. Knowing how large the compound is makes it a bit alarming how small the backup team is, but only somber purpose shows on the younger medic-nin's face. They'll make do somehow and they -do- have Taiki's unbeatable presence with them. He nods his head readily upon heading Taiki's instructions. "Understood, Taiki-sama. I'll try to get any that stop fighting to a safe area. There has to be one in a place this big…" Kenta's voice trails off as he concentrates on gathering chakra for the big battle ahead. He also starts making the hand seals needed to link their group, excluding Hige and Sanda, who are out of sight, with the Yamanaka clan's telepathic jutsu.
COMBAT: Seiko defends against LIGHTNING-CRASH(85) attack from Kano with a VORTEX-FLIGHT…53
COMBAT: Seiko loses the roll and sustains 1769 damage.
Ordering the strike to proceed and focusing chakra at the entrance is a pretty darn good way to indicate that an attack is coming. Unfortunately for Seiko, this means she's still in the office with Kano when someone runs in to tell him that unidentified shinobi are coming up and seem to be preparing to attack. The blue-haired man's gaze falls upon Seiko like stone, a serious frown upon his face. "… Betrayal with a smile on your face… directly to my face," he says in a rather dark tone that almost sounds like a growl. "… You disappoint me, Seiko."
Within moments of the team arriving, it seems the signal for battle to begin will be called by Kano as well, not by a word, but by action. From the administration dome, one can see a bright flash of lightning blast open a window that is seen shattering into millions of pieces as a powerful blast of lightning sends a body crashing through the window and flying across the compound in a heap.
It might be hard to identify at first as it wears the same cloak as all Storm Brigade members do, but, after it bounces a few times like a stone on pavement and finally comes to a halt on the ground, one can tell who this rather charred-looking person is as she looks up for a moment then slumps back over. She tries to hold it together, but instead she coughs up blood rather violently upon the ground and shivering and spasming a bit still from the electricity jolting through her burn and blood-covered body.
As Seiko fights to live, Kano steps out of the broken window and calls out, "This scum dared walk back in as our brethren while she turned her back on us. Kill the two she brought with her and kill the shinobi trash they brought for backup!"
Y'know… Sanda isn't exactly prepared for much of anything. She's still wandering around and examining the facilities, still finding it a shame that it will likely be destroyed from the future chaos. She isn't aware of the group outside because she doesn't have an Inuzuka nose, and she isn't a sensor like Hanami… Heck, the only warning she gets is the one that the rest of the Storm Brigade gets. Maybe she should have stuck closer to Hige… Well, it doesn't matter in particular, she supposed. And it may be a good thing that she wasn't with Hige because she happened to be right near the spot where Seiko landed. She blinks a few times at the charred bundle before horror, and then anger show in her eyes. Those eyes would turn to Kano's direction as she listened to his announcement. "Great… Looks like that cover story got blown…" She mutters. "This is why I don't like the unexpected," she says, sighing faintly and making a hand seal to gather chakra. Yes, she was that ill-prepared. "Hey, Seiko. Should I get you out of here or keep you safe until help comes?" she asks the Sasaki. "Also, you look like you flew through a thundercloud. You shouldn't travel when it's lightning out, didn't you know that?"
COMBAT: Sanda focuses 3892 stamina to turn it into 5000 usable chakra!
"Oh!" Konsho adds, pausing before they hit the entrance. "Hige also wants to try and capture the leader of this camp, Kano, if we can. He will have information we need about the Storm Brigade." And with that Konsho leads the way, shedding his Henge as he goes. What was a cute innocent looking dog is now a above five foot tall wolf heading down the stairs. That should get things rolling well enough. "Anyone who doesn't want to die," Hige says, stepping up beside Konsho in the middle of the large area before the bunks, "better give up now." YEah, there's no subtlety here. It was never his strong point. It's a surprise his made it this far really.
When the explosion comes from above and Seiko is sent flying like a poor charred figure Hige knows where he needs to go immediately. He leaves the rest of this mess to those coming in, having Kizoku return for Kenta to lead him to Seiko while Hige and Konsho launch themselves to land near the administrative thingy. "Kano, get your stupid eli out here and surrender. Or we can do this the hard way."

Hanami pauses inside the entrance, trying to take in things. But then again it's going to be pretty chaotic. Kizoku was leading Kenta off, leaving Hanami and Taiki. She looks about again, "Well time to get things going. Stay safe." And then she takes off, keeping her eyes and senses alert for any surprises and any one who seemed important and might know something.

Okay, well the enemy apparently decided to kick things off, so Taiki can take the proverbial gloves off. And since they want to get the non-combatants out of the way, Taiki starts things off by targeting the closest major threat here. He runs through some seals and murmurs "Nature's Wrath Genjutsu: Air Pressure Drop." At the same time he flares his own chakra and says in a menacing voice, "What he said, anyone not wishing to fight, surrender now. If you attack us, we will use force against you."

Kenta's eyes widen in alarm when he sees the smoking body fly out of the shattered window. It's difficult to tell who it is from afar, but that is not a good sign. "Umm… looks like the action is starting already…" the young man mumbles softly under his breath. Thankfully, that charred body isn't Hige, though that doesn't make things any better. The young man quickly adds Hige to the telepathic network while the other Jounin is still in sight before he sprints after Kizoku to reach their injured ally. <"I'll alert everyone if we run into any trouble on this end!"> Kenta mentally sends out to the rest of the group as he moves.
Kenta drops to his knees next to Seiko and Sanda when he arrives on Kizoku's heels. His appearance has changed a little, since chains of seal characters now wrap up his neck to form seal circles on his cheeks. The air around him also warps slightly from the release of his seals. "Don't worry," the young man tells them. "Umm… I'm a friend and a medic too." Obviously, considering who brought him. Kenta winces slightly at the sight of Seiki's injuries. "You look like you were hit by lightning." He lifts his hands over her chest and medical chakra quickly shrouds them in a warm glow.
COMBAT: Kenta heals Seiko for 1704 with RESTORING CHAKRA PALM.
As Hige makes his announcement, a lot of the newer recruits back down and just run. Meanwhile those who've been training here for a while do not look so impressed. After all, their boss just blasted a traitor to bits right in front of her cohorts. How bad can these guys be? When Hige moves toward the explosion, they began to look at one another, and some of the Storm Brigade members begin moving from the shadows, appearing in their black cloaks and instructing the recruits to get them calm and ready to fight.
As Taiki comes out to play, the cloaked man he targets just looks his way while bringing his hands into a seal to use Genjutsu Kai. He waggles a finger before lunging to try and clock the Inuzuka directly in the face then aim a knee at his gut. Meanwhile as some of the shinobi try to help Seiko, the recruits and Storm Brigade members begin showing up. The recruits charging them with blades drawn intent on dicing them all to bits while the cloaked figures begin creating weapons of lightning and throwing them at the shinobi, including the near-dead Seiko since it seems they want to finish her off.
"Oh, so you're blind as well as dumb?" Kano asks as he looks over at Hige. "And here I thought you Inuzuka were supposed to have good senses or something. Oh well. I suppose you won't live long enough for me to find out." With that he directs his hand forward, attempting to blast Hige with the same move that he got Seiko with as an enormous amount of lightning flows from his fingertips.

Peering up at Sanda as she asks about moving her and kind of talks smack to her too, Seiko coughs up a bit more blood and smirks at the Hizumi. "… Bite me… Just take care of yourself," she manages before another nasty cough. Then by some miracle someone's above her on his knees with healing chakra flowing through her body. She blinks a few times as she now feels almost fully healed. "Wow, thanks," she says, nodding before she pushes herself up to her feet and forms a handseal before spinning a hand and flinging it around in the direction of a large number of the Storm Brigade recruits and members. The wind that follows one's hand normally is suddenly a LOT larger in how she uses it as it suddenly becomes a massive force that attempts to blast them back and pin them against the ground, walls, rock, whatever their bodies can manage to slam into.

"I could, but I don't think my boyfriend would be happy with me," Sanda replies casually, giving Seiko a smirk in return. "But seriously, you die and I'll feel like a jerk for letting you die," she says. She's glad that Kenta showed up, as apparently the guy is a medic. Also, Kizoku brought him. "You could have given a warning before you charged in?" she asks the pup with a raised brow. She then hears a crackling coming in, and she turns to try and block it with some fancy jutsu, but there's a blur in front of her that removes the threat somehow. Huh… "Well, at least you seem to have brought the best with you…" she asides to the white pup, gathering chakra and forming several orbs around her person that spin slowly around her and start to zap anyone that might be nearby with storm chakra.
COMBAT: Hige defends against LIGHTNING-CRASH(106) attack from Kano with a INUZUKA-DANGER-SENSE…77
COMBAT: Hige loses the roll and sustains 2427 damage.
Perhaps it was the long boat ride or who knows what else, but all this 'playing nice' melody obviously didn't do him well. Hige isn't able to move away in time and while the effect isn't quite the same as it is against Seiko it still doesn't make him feel very happy. Give part of it to his lightning nature that helps stow some of that blast away. His arms come up, catching the blast as it blows him back but he flips in the air and lands on his feet despite the blow. "You know, I really wanted to take you alive. But it wasn't a necessity." Lightning arcs along his form as it only does for him apparently as the majority of it focuses into his claws. In a flash he launches forward, lashing those claws out at Kano as he bypasses him at a high speed.
Hanami moves into the chaos of the attack. She tries to make sure those that aren't fighting and surrendering and left alone or pointed the way out but most of her attention is focusing on the attacking enemies. Her chakram flies back and forth around her aiming at various targets.

Taiki sees that Sanda and Kenta are coming under attack while Kenta is healing somebody and decides to act. The attacks coming into him are pretty much ignored as he speeds forward on pads of lightning to interpose himself right next to them before intoning, "Fuinjutsu: Seal Encampment Wall." A blue shell forms over the three people, and although he fails to incercept one of the shots speeding toward Kenta, all the others seem to be absorbed into a barrier. "My turn," he says with a feral grin as his ninken speed their way over to him. He runs through another set of handseals before intoning, "Riaton: Lightning arrows" He targets two people, first Taki, and then the guy he first targeted in the genjutsu.
COMBAT: Kenta defends against LIGHTNING-TOOLS(51) attack from Shifty with a FEEDBACK-BARRIER…82
When the barrage of lightning weapons are flung towards the small group he's with, Kenta immediately surrounds himself in a skin tight seal barrier and shifts to cover Seiko as much as possible. Whatever Taiki doesn't manage to stop bounces off his back. "Umm… you look better, but try not to overdo it," the medic-nin advises Seiko with a harried smile on his lips when the girl sends the blast of wind against their attackers. He immediately follows up by popping a small black pill into his mouth and making some hand seals. The young man purses his lips to blow forth a billowing cloud of sleeping mist that races right behind the wind.
Kenta straightens quickly to his feet and nods over to where much of the other action is going on. "That's Taiki-sama that helped us out here with those barriers. Nothing will get pass him," he informs Seiko and Sanda in a confident voice. Then, the young man lifts his voice to make himself heard over the din of chaos, though how well that'll be considering his natural softness is in question. "Repeat! Don't resist and you won't get hurt! We won't harm anyone that surrenders peacefully!" he calls out.

"Aw, you wanted me alive? What, did you want to take me out for tea and ice cream?" Kano asks Hige as he brings his hands into a seal, creating a seal pattern on the ground in front of him before a wall of chakra raises around him to prevent the Inuzuka's attack from getting through to him. He peers over Seiko's way as she is being healed and frowns slightly. "Guess I should've hit a little harder and took her head off, the traitorous little scum." His eyes fall back to Hige, though, quickly as he says, "But I suppose I can deal with you first." Raising his hand over his head, he causes a disk of lightning to spark into existence before launching it at the Inuzuka's chest with intent to slice straight through his ribcage into his lungs.
Meanwhile with the other Storm Brigade members and the newer recruits, they manage to do pretty well avoiding the barrage from the lesser experienced shinobi. However, Taiki and Kenta's attacks seem to carry a lot more weight behind them, their efforts managing to bring a large number of the enemy around them as their bodies refuse to obey their commands. This manages to keep any attacks from coming their way just yet and opens up the floor for them to take out a large number of them at once if they wish.
As her attack is avoided but replaced by Kenta's more powerful one, Seiko frowns a bit. She's got to get a bit better, maybe come up with a way to use her Sky Manipulation jutsu to boost her abilities… No matter. For now they're covered, and she has a moment to take a knee and try to catch her breath. "That… hurt…" she utters before shaking her head and looking around at the other shinobi, her eyes finally falling back to Kano. She'd like to be in the fight with Hige against him, but she doesn't stand a chance… Still, she'll help however she can. A thought occurs to her, though, and she peers around. "… Taki…" Could he have used some sort of escape hatch, or is he just hiding and waiting to attack….
Sanda is pretty much right next to Seiko as far as distance goes, and she hears the Sasaki mention Taki. "What, you think he's around here somewhere? I don't see him, I think… But shouldn't we get these two powerhouses to take care of that guy?" Sanda asks her. The orbs of storm chakra were still whirring around her, as Sanda didn't really want to get struck down by an incoming blow. And seeing as how a lot of the enemy around her look preoccupied, she would target the ones who looked more like they wanted to murder her allies than run away despite their bodies being unable to move.
COMBAT: Hige counters against a LIGHTNING-DISC(49) attack from Kano with a LIGHTNING-CLAW-II…71
COMBAT: Hige has successfully countered the attack.
"Do you like tea and ice cream? I was thinking more torture and shame, but I'll see what I can do," Hige says, fangs bared at Kano as he slips down to all fours in preperation for whatever might be coming. This attack, well he's seen it before used by another and it was easier to avoid then one might have expected. Just as the disc neared he lept into the air over the disc with a bit of a flip so that he could aim those claws once again to try and rend through the man on his way by.
Hanami skids to a stop, looking around. She knows where the big brawl is going down, but otherwise it's just mass chaos around here with everyone running around panicking. Some people are surrendering and seem to be more concerned about getting out of there which was fine as well. Less to worry about for the moment, though she wasn't sure how much of a success this mission would end up being, even if they got the man in charge. She takes a breath and yells, "Any of you that don't want to fight better move. Or be moved." With that another inhale followed my a couple quick exhales allow her to perform her jutsu sending two wind vortexes spinning in opposite directions from her. The vortexes whip around picking up and any debris, and possibly people, in their paths. Clearing a bit of space gives her a moment to look around and plot a course.
Taiki's grin grows even more feral as some of the stronger ones seem to congregate around them. "Nozomi, you're defense," he says to his red-furred dog as he looks around. "You know, you really should give up. I really don't want to kill you, but I will if I deem it necessary," he growls out before… vanishing in a flash of white light, alongside the white dog. Not even half a second later bright flashes of light seem to flash randomly in a circle around him, targetting the cloaked figures and Kano himself. Anyone successfully struck finds themselves flung into the air with excruciatingly painful gashes openning up on their bodies, followed by being hurled to the ground forcefully a second later, only to find even more lightning claw wounds opening up in addition to the damage resulting from slamming to the ground. Taiki and Shinobu flash black into existence right where he was, though there's traces of blood on his hands where the lightning claws do not touch.
"Taki? If that's an important member of the organization, we can't let him escape," Kenta comments with a frown on his face when he hears what Seiko and Sanda's murmuring about. "Where's a sensor when we need one?" The young man shakes a small pouch of pills into his hands while there's a breather and tosses back the whole lot of them - all red, black and white. Ingesting so many poison pills at once will be a big problem if he doesn't get a chance to purge or expel them in the allotted amount of time, but that's unlikely to a problem considering what's going on around them.
"Last chance to surrender!" Kenta calls out to the surrounding enemy recruiters, both those that are stunned and those that are considering attacking again. "If you want to live, stop resisting and head to the docking area! Stay out of our way! Umm… and don't try to flee on that ship either, because you have nowhere to go and we -can- easily hunt you down while you're trapped in there!"
The full members, on the other hand, seem like they'll be more of a problem, since they're stronger and is bound to try to rally the recruits again. If what the rest of the team is doing to those hooded figures isn't enough of a warning to any watching recruits, Kenta decides to add to the tally. Something less lethal first. The young man brings his right hand back to his mouth and blows sharply through circled fingers. Bullets of wind whizzes through the air into a knot of the hooded figures.

The luck of Kano versus the luck of his lackeys…. It would seem the leader is every bit as strong as Seiko suggested he was. It's almost like he's laughing at the shinobi in how he so easily defends himself, bringing his hands into a seal to raise up another wall of chakra around him. "Torture and shame? You've got interesting tastes there, kiddo," the blue-haired man says with a chuckle before shifting his handseal, and it seems the jutsu he's using isn't one for playing around despite his comfortable demeanor. He tilts his head back for a second then moves it forward as he spews out a powerful jet of water that sweeps across at all the shinobi except Hanami, who is probably rather lucky she was outside of where he decided to stop the attack. Seiko, however, is not so lucky, as Kano tries to saw all the shinobi in half with the jutsu.
While Kano doesn't react to it much, the recruits that didn't run earlier and even some of the real Storm Brigade members are put through quite a bit of hell by the jutsu cast by the shinobi, ripped and torn by wind and lightning alike over and over until there is a sea of dead bodies around. And yet… as the remaining cloaked figures stand back to their feet to begin combat again, they don't skip a beat. "Oh, look, I guess Kano was right about these people, eh, Taki?" one calls out. Then again, "Oh, mostly definitely." "Wait, you're not Taki! I am!" "Are you insane?! That's me!" "You're ALL delusional! I'm Taki!" Even in the face of probable death, they stick to the plan with a rather strange sense of amusement, as if they don't think their survival is as important as their goal. While they argue, one of them draws a blade from his side and stabs it into the ground, surging lightning chakra through it and firing out a wave of lightning through the sea of their dead comrades, intent on blasting all the shinobi to help Kano fight and increase the confusion.
As she sees the attack coming, Seiko is quite certain she's about to die in rather horrible fashion. She braces herself to try and defend, but then something she really didn't expect happens… Hige takes the jutsu for her… and takes it rather badly. She winces and blinks a few times, but she quickly tries to shake off the confusion of the person who seems to dislike her the most taking a blast for her. Can't let that be for nothing. Shifting a handseal, she waves a hand around at the Storm Brigade members and Kano, sending a powerful blast of wind to try and knock them over and pin them down for a coming attack. It most likely won't work against Kano, but one can't say she isn't determined!

"Y'know, killing folk isn't going to convince them to stand down…" Sanda would comment, watching death and destruction go widespread, especially thanks to Kenta and Taiki. "They think we're the bad guys. Killing them will just convince them of that," she would try to tell the Konoha shinobi. Not that it really helps. And Sanda doing nothing still apparently paints a target on her back. Or maybe it's because she's near-ish Seiko and the rest of the power-houses. As a very-scary jet of water comes around, her eyes widen a bit. "Oh sh-…" She doesn't actually get to finish that sentence considering she got pierced by that stream of water. And to top it off, she just got a jolt of electricity through her body… So pleasant. She's pretty sure she can see that mystical light coming for her… I mean, she is in pretty bad condition thanks to the double attack >.<

Konsho is on the ball. Must be all that rest he got on the boat! As soon as he realizes the attack that is aimed at one of their less experienced allies he's on the move. In one fluid motion he's practically moved through Seiko and flipped her onto his back to get out of the way, dropping her off safely away from the blast. Hige had been equally as worried but was not as fast. Konsho beat him to it and so in an effort to simply get away Hige misjudges a tad so he doesn't smack into the overly large ninken. It blasts him back into the forest through a number of trees and for a few long moments he doesn't reappear. But reappear he does, and he looks rather monked. He also looks like aria but that's to be expected. Blood and torn clothes and the whole nine yards. Yet over it all the overwhelming anger flowing from him is what really settles in. "Right. No alive." The words come in a growl and them from one moment to the next Hige and Konsho are in the air…way in the air. And they start coming down at Kano, joining together in a whirlwind of death.

RP: Hanami transforms into BREEZE.
Hanami grits her teeth, watching the attacks unleashed she sees the girl Sanda go down hard though Seiko seems to have avoided a similar fate thanks to Hige. She gets Hige's switch in tactics, though the other girl is probably right and this wont help. Then again they did just storm their compound, pun unintended, and when she has a moment she'll feel bad about the ones who didn't make it out in time. As the lightning rips toward her the wind is with her and with a blur she's no longer at that spot, twisting and sliding out of the way. Inhaling air and chakra mix to be exhaled moments later in the form of another pair of vortices ripping across the ground for the hooded group suffering from an identity crisis. She really doesn't care which one is called Taki anyway. Maybe Seiko's wind blast will help distract them while her attacks strike. She moves in a little closer and calls out, "Hey! You guys must really suck at your job if your boss thinks you're only good enough to really face against one mere shinobi while he takes on five all by himself. Man, hate to be you guys right now. But I'll solve your identity issue, lets just call you Idiot 1, 2, 3, 4…" Yeah, she's trying to taunt them. Not a smart move, but if it draws their attention more toward her and lets the others group up on Kano, might be worth it.

COMBAT: Taiki defends against LIGHTNING-ROD(44) attack from Shifty with a RAIDEN'S-WOLF-DANCE…85
With the speed built up from his prior attack, stopping on a dime is quite impossible. Therefore Taiki and Shinobu can only attempt to dodge the water attack as they bleed off speed, only to be hit and knocked to the ground, skidding into Nozomi, who is pushed along with them to avoid the ground-lightning attack. Taiki stands up just in time to hear Sanda speak, causing him to ground out, "When people try to kill you, you can't stand there and negotiate. So pardon me if I don't stop right now." With that, and the requirements for contact met, Taiki runs through a few handsigns before calling out, "Man-Beast Elemental Transformation: Elemental Wolf Horror!"
The area around the trio fairly explodes in a huge inert gas cloud that completely conceals them. A low rumble can be heard from within the cloud that sounds like it can't possibly come from the same throat, but it sounds very much coordinated. The next moment a /gigantic/ lightning-charged whirwind blasts out of the cloud headed directly for Kano that makes anything that Hige may have seen prior puny by comparison. It suffices to say, Taiki is leaving Kenta to do the medical detail.

Sweat drop. Maybe all those wind bullets was a little bit of an overkill. Unfortunately, Kenta doesn't have much time to feel bad about the whole thing, because there's powerful jutsu incoming their way again. Konsho's timely saving of Seiko is a relief, but he's next in line. The young man braces himself and flings up both arms to cross them in front of his face. The sweeping lance of water scythes right into him, but only makes him skid backwards, since his seal barrier absorbs most of the force. Then, wind suddenly gusts around Kenta's body and dust poof up from where he was standing, as he suddenly launches sideways to leap into the path of the lightning surge before it hits Seiko. The force is similarly absorbed and deflected. A few sparks crackle off his shield as the lightning's remaining power bleeds away.
<"Hige! Are you ok?!"> Kenta sends to his friend when he sees that Hige had been blasted right out of sight. His relief is short lived upon Hige's reappearance, messed up as the Inuzuka is, because Sanda's lying on the ground in a spreading pool of her own blood as smoke comes off her body. He hadn't even notice her get struck. Kenta rushes to Sanda's side to heal her before she's too far gone. "Umm… I think we should have brought more medics with us…"

Though Kano throws up another wall of chakra, this time only a single attack is kept from getting through. The two Inuzuka tear through the barrier and slice and dice fiercely, causing blood to fly everywhere as he is knocked around and finally skids on the ground. He lies down for a moment, so one might think the battle is over. However, after that moment passes, he leaps back to his feet with a rather devilish grin on his face as his arm begins to ignite with lightning, forming a blade that he slashes across at all the shinobi with intent to cut them all down.
As the wind presses, some of the cloaked men are able to avoid Hanami's attacks. Others are torn through. They all, however, wind up caught by the pressing wind combined with this, opening them up for a likely coming barrage…

Seeing that blade coming, Seiko tenses up… and she's saved again. She blinks a few times. Literally wearing the uniform of this group because it wasn't log ago she was once of them, and these people are actually saving her? Is she actually trusted enough now to not let her just die in the fray, or do Konoha people just like to play hero? Whatever the case, there's not much time to think about it. With Hanami's wind tearing through some of these guys while her own holds them down, Seiko launches a fiercer wind, using it to flying body both and objects powerfully with intent onto breaking bones and bodies.
COMBAT: Seiko focuses 2997 stamina to turn it into 4000 usable chakra!
RP: Sanda transforms into CHAOTIC-STORM.
Sanda blinks a few times as she feels herself return to her body. Of course, she wishes she was dead for a moment while she regains her sense of self, and then she blinks a few more times to see everything moving around her. Oh right. She's in the middle of a fight. Kenta healed her. Sanda gets up from the ground, spitting out the taste of blood and electricity to glance around and see how the battle was going. Apparently okay, but then more lightning is incoming. Is she gonna die again? She closes her eyes to wait for a blow that never comes thanks to Taiki. Not that she notices his help. She just realized that the sound of electricity wasn't getting much closer, so she dared to open her eyes… And then she grinned just a bit. "Well, guess I'm gonna live for now," she says, those storm orbs reappearing around her to zap those brave enough to still be standing around.
Hige doesn't expect Kano to die so easily, though one might hope in the end. No, even after he lands from his attack he's still ready and waiting for the leader of the Storm Brigade to make his move. And he does. Yet before Hige can react he's pushed out of the area of the attack which surprises him more than anything else. Well, Kenta's defense gave him and Konsho a moment to prepare. And prepared they are as they split to either side of the area, then come slamming down at Kano in saw like spin cycles. It's not to kill though. No. This one is to knock him into the air and leave the man defenseless for whatever else they may have ready for him…

Well that hurt. She was just working through her attacks not being all that effective like usual against the Idiots when a massive blade of lightning came crackling for her. How the bard did his attack reach all the way…and reach it did. She tried to move, but the sweep of the blade caught her and set every nerve in her body screaming. She stumbled and crashed to the ground, writhing for a moment as the lightning did its damage to her body. Not the first time she had experienced something like this. And it bolted her off that time too. Stupid dorian. She's pretty sure she blacked out for a moment but despite the screaming pain of her body she works herself to her feet. Her body twitches, and she's pretty sure she smells burnt hair but right now her senses aren't working too well anyways. The Idiots at least were momentarily taken in by Seiko's successful attack. Might as well try and make something count, hopefully. Anyways, they got their hands full up there with the leader. So bracing herself she takes in a ragged breath and unleashes another vortex to try and rip through them. Following that her hands form the seals needed, careful of the twitching, then raising her arms wide as the air above the Idiots solidifies. Her arms sweep down and she stumbles a bit but that solidified air hopefully wish smash them into the ground, distracting them a little longer. This goes along with some muttering under her breath, though no one is around to hear it anyhow.

COMBAT: Taiki has been poisoned.
The whirlwind stops to show a towering monster. It is bipedal, with three heads, and white and red fur. It, however, is apparently intelligent as it invokes a blue barrier in attempts to block ward off the lightning attack on it. But that only helps a little, as some of the attack still gets through. Seeing Sanda about to be hit, it then charges more lightning into its claws in an attempt to disable Kano, but is caught by the second attack before it can complete the counter, and is sliced in half! Another cloud of smoke appears, and three bodies lie on the ground, horrendously injured. Yep, you guessed it, Taiki and both ninken are now motionless on the ground, bleeding profusely and unresponsive.

Kenta grits his teeth. He's getting very tired of Kano's attempts to kill all of them. There's just no respite coming at all. Kenta's hands are already shrouded by medical chakra. It only takes a little more effort to shape the chakra into blades strong enough to slice cut through solid objects. The young man draws a reserve of poison from one of the pills he swallowed earlier, dissolving it inside his stomach and bringing it back up into his mouth in a plume of red mist that he blows onto the chakra scalpels around his hands. Now infused with lethal poisons, Kenta slashes his right hand through the air in a vicious arc. A scythe of medical chakra extends from the blade of his hand to crash into the shaped lightning about to cut Seiko down and deflects it before traveling onwards. It cuts through stone, wood and even metal… anything between it and Kano.
But Kenta's not longer where he was either. Gusts swirl around him again in a small cyclone to cloak his body in a cushion of wind chakra. "Stay here!" he exclaims to Sanda and Seiko on his way pass. With his speed greatly increased, the medic-nin runs forward at an uncommonly quick gait, ducking and flipping away from danger to reach the other fighting group, just in time to give Hige a controlled shove out of the path of one of Kano's attacks. He comes skidding to a stop and slaps his hands together to focus more chakra to replace the substantial amount that he just used up in a flash. "Umm… you're awfully cocky for an evil villain, but do think you can handle one more?" Kenta demands of Kano. The young man's panting and sweating due to drawing out so much chakra from both his seals and personal reserves, but at least he sounds fierce… for Kenta.
All the ferocity in Kenta's expression devolves into horror upon seeing the Alpha of the Inuzuka Clan and his ninken suddenly crash to the ground, seemingly dead. His mouth opens in a silent scream. The medic-nin pushes all thoughts out of his mind in that instance. He drops and slams a palm into the ground, shoving chakra into the act with all his might. A blazing seal array forms beneath the medic-nin, growing brighter with each second. Then, a heavy chain of seal characters lashes forth across the ground, writhing like a snake, to link Kenta directly with the Inuzuka in the distance. A second blazing seal array forms underneath them. Medical chakra immediately begin to pump into their bodies, stemming blood flow, restarting organs and inducing rapid cellular regeneration.

Just as it looks like Kano has everything well in hand, his body is starting to give a bit before his mind… Even a big bad villain only has so much chakra in reserve at one time. As Hige and Kenta come at him, he has to make a choice and decides to try a lesser wall to block the attacks since the stronger one he might only be able to pull off once with the remaining chakra he has. Throw up a handseal, he brings up a wall of chakra, only for Hige and Konsho to shatter it to bits and thrash him, thus leaving him wipe open for Kenta's incoming counter against the lightning blade. As that chakra blade digs into him, he feels the poison racking his body while he is yet unable to move and drops the ground, starting to twitch and seize from the poison.
Even if any of the Storm Brigade here were medics, it's a bit too late. With that wind from Seiko holding them capture, the barrage from the three Kumogakure Kunoichi in a hellacious mix of wind and lasers obliterates the last of them, leaving the sea of lifeless bodies of those that chose to fight complete. Only Kano's body remains alive… barely, and Taki seems to be in the wind. Wherever he fled to, the Konohagaure and Kumogakure have a pair options now. They can either kill the man that nearly killed all of them but Kenta more than once throughout this ordeal and be done with him here and now, or they can save him from the poison and bring him back to the village to interrogate and try to find out more about his operation once his body has recovered enough to not go into shock and die immediately from whatever interrogation technique they employ.
As all this goes on, Seiko looks around in a bit of disbelief…. Can they have actually beaten Kano? Sure, beating the portion of the Brigade that's here and the recruits is one thing, but actually beating him.. It seems surreal. Of course, Seiko once looked up to this man the way the shinobi here look up to their Kage, so he likely seemed invincible to her once upon a time. "Are… we… really still alive?" she asks. "We didn't just all die from the injuries and wind up in some heaven where we think we won?"
RP: Sanda reverts to her normal state.
Sanda scans the area for people who would try to attack her, and her eyes eventually settle on Taiki and his three ninken lying there. The girl's eyes widen slightly, a combination of horror and shock in their depths. She was fairly sure they weren't moving… No one could have survived such an intense blow twice in a row, and the trio who had been in such a scary form moments before were unmoving. Kenta's actions didn't go unnoticed, either. In fact, it was the medic's desperate attempt to revive Taiki that snapped Sanda from her trance, and the girl's eyes would snap to attention upon the destruction that fell upon Kano like a cannonball in full swing towards a building.
"Che… We better still be alive. I have some unfinished business to attend to, after all… Though it's completely possible we died. I'm pretty sure I saw some golden light in the middle of the battle, after all. But…" She takes a moment to poke her injuries, the blood still there and soaking her clothes. "I still feel like I was in several shipwrecks in a span of ten minutes. So we gotta be alive, otherwise I wouldn't hurt this bad." Sanda glances to Seiko briefly. "I think we won," she states simply. Though she does have a feeling that they may not have completely won… She isn't sure where she's getting that feeling, though… Hopefully her gut is wrong and just complaining about all those injuries.
Hige comes back down from his attack after Kano has already landed and he lands next to him, one hand going around the mans throat as he growls deep in his own throat. "I should let you die a slow and painful death for all the deaths you've caused," he says, feral eyes far more wild than normal and waves of pure hate and anger flowing from him in almost palpable forms. He lets that set there for a few moments as if he seems to be about to do just that, but instead he stands and motions to Kenta. "Kenta, make sure he'll live but in an unconscious state until we get him back to Konoha." His eyes finally scan the rest of the group as he wipes blood from the corners of his mouth with a sleeve and he nods at seeing how they seem to have taken care of the recruits and others foolish enough to hang around. "See who else we can save. How is Taiki?" He wasn't blind to it all after all, he just had priorities at the time. They should've brought more medics. "Konsho, go see if there's anyone with field medic experience in the recruits that we didn't kill. If they are get them in here to start helping." The ninken goes off as instructed while Kizoku sticks around. So far he gets it easy cause, well, he's still in training. He doesn't worry about dealing with his own injuries for now, just letting the blood flow. The pain helps the anger from making him want to kill more.
COMBAT Hanami is poisoned (9 rounds) and loses 142 health.
Hanami blinks as the hooded ones drop and stay dropped. Success? She slumps, holding her side feeling totally fried. Literally. "That's right…stay..down," she isn't talking to loudly honestly, and coughs some blood. And none too good, after effects of the blade working in her system. She looks over to where the big battle was happening and sees it's over. Not sure if everyone made it, she makes her way slowly to the group as the ninken dashes past. She looks about, "So…victory? Yay…" Yeah the last was rather weak willed. She's just going to chill for now.
RP: Hanami reverts to her normal state.
COMBAT Taiki is poisoned (9 rounds) and loses 671 health.
RP: Taiki reverts to his normal state.
Taiki was also pretty sure he saw a light at the end of the tunnel there, and only Kenta's efforts saved him from it. He slowly, carefully opens his eyes and lets out a soft groan just as Hige asks Kenta how their doing. He waits a brief moment, listening for the sound of Shinobu and Nozomi breathing before he groans again, "We're alive… I think. But can't move… someone's going to have to carry us back to our destination…"
Kenta doesn't need Hige's urging to check on Taiki, Shinobu and Nozomi. As soon as the younger medic sees Kano drop, he rushes towards their sides. The leader of the Storm Brigade will surely die of his poisons eventually without help, but that time isn't now. "Don't talk, Taiki-sama. You're badly injured." His brows furrow as he checks each of their pulses. "Ummm… Poison. As bad as the worst of what I can brew up," he announces. The medic-nin quickly removes syringes from a medical pouch at the small of his back to inject them with an agent to counteract the poison. A sheen of perspiration thickens on his face as he follows up by using medical chakra to force the poison out of their bodies, using a rag to wipe up the black liquid that squeezes out of their skin as a result. That rag is going to have to be burned afterwards.
Only all the healing does Kenta heave a sigh of relief, even blinking back tears that he tries not to allow the others to see. "Hige, they were hurt even worse than you when you were brought into the hospital last time. I managed to keep their bodies from shutting down completely, but Taiki-sama's right. They won't be able to move on their own for a while. Maybe weeks…" the young man says in a tired voice. He doesn't suppress the seals still inked all over his body, even though they're surrounded by a sea of dead bodies and Kano is down, since there might still be danger until an all clear comes.
Kenta staggers to his feet and walks over to where Kano's lying. He looks down at the man with a blank expression for a moment. Considers kicking him in the balls and all that… Kenta heaves another sigh and drops to his knees. He removes another syringe from his medical pack and stabs it into Kano's thigh without any prep. After injecting the antidote for the poison he applied to his chakra scalpels earlier, he also removes three black pills from a belt pouch. It's the same pills that he used to generate the sleeping mist earlier, only these go straight into Kano's mouth. Triple dose to keep the badly injured man asleep for a while.
A third sigh escapes from Kenta's lips. He scans the small group that stormed the Storm Brigade compound. "Umm… you and you. You need tending. Don't wander off until I check you out," he states. The medic-nin points first at Hanami and then at Hige, in that order.

COMBAT Kano is poisoned (9 rounds) and loses 634 health.
Though he hadn't probably planned on living through such injuries in case of capture, Kano is quickly put to sleep before he can say or do anything about it. His body falls limp, at last unconscious and not a threat anymore… at least for now. His threat won't be fully extinguished until he's gone…
Seiko peers around at the others, still a bit in wonder that they're all alive. her eyes fall to Kano laying there lifeless. She really wants to run over and kick him square in the face, but, if that wound up killing him since he didn't have a lot of life left in him, she'd probably be in a bit of trouble. Her eyes then fall to Hige and Kenta… She steps over to Hige and looks up at him a moment before bowing at the waist, quite contrary to the sarcasm they had to one another when there was absolutely no trust at all between them between when they first met and when this battle began. "… I know you had doubts about me… and I know you didn't have to save me… Thank you…" She then turns toward Kenta, reiterating that bow a bit. "And you."
"Save your energy for the others Kenta, I'll live." Hige may live painfully for a while but that's nothing new. He turns to start going through the dead but stops when Seiko appears near him and bows, causing him to raise a brow in surprise. "You're welcome. You had chances to turn against us if you wanted to, but you didn't. And while I was suspicious I never really scented anything off about you. Just make sure you continue doing good for your Village." He turns then to continue his movement into the area, mostly to see who might still be alive if any. If they are he'll have someone bind their wounds for the moment and they can join Kano albeit in a seperate cell.
COMBAT Hanami is poisoned (8 rounds) and loses 142 health.
Hanami waves a hand, "No worries, not going anywhere. But really, not all that bad. Just tired. Like he said," she jerks a thumb at Hige, "I'm good till we make sure there isn't anyone else in more dire straights. I can sleep on the boat, if the boat is still there. Hope it's there."
COMBAT Taiki is poisoned (2 rounds) and loses 585 health.
Taiki smiles as Kenta tries to help him. Taiki knows pretty much exactly how injured he is, and knows he's going to be next to useless for a while. "You… are… a good… healer…. I'm proud…" he rasps out, then silences himself. He'll let Hige take care of everything else, as it hurts just to talk, much less thinking about moving anything like… say… a pinky.
Kenta gives Seiko a wan smile. "Umm… we were just doing our duties and this group is a threat to the world. You don't need to thank me." He shakes his head slightly as Hige refuses healing, but it wasn't completely unexpected and it's true that Hige isn't nearly as bad off as others in the group. He also nods at Hanami's reassurance that she's ok for now. "Alright, I'll tend to both of you later. Taiki-sama, Nozomi-sama and Shinobu-sama are the worst off anyway."
Kenta wipes some sweat off his forehead and returns to tending the three badly injured individuals. He could do without people nearly dying on him repeatedly in the last few weeks. "I'm nowhere nearly as good as you are, Taiki-sama. If I am, you three won't be lying here like this now. I could wave my hands and…" Kenta purses his lips unhappily. Then, he focuses on trying to extract remaining poison residue from their bodies. The seals visible on his face, neck and hands finally fade away as he suppresses them.

"I'm glad I could prove I really am on your side then," Seiko says as she finally stands back up, nodding to Hige. She then looks over to Kenta, saying, "But I used to be one of them… So it may not seem like a big deal to you, but it is to me because, less than a year ago, I could have been just another nameless jerk among this pile of corpses." That said, now she kind of hangs bangs, relieved and appreciative to be alive still.
