Arika and Gekido need to help out a traveling troupe!
"Troupe Troubles - To the Next Stop"
Land of Wind - Toshi Sagan
The hustle and bustle of the nearby town known as Toshi Sagan is as active as ever, especially since a traveling troupe is making its way through. Of course, the town itself is largely considered unsafe, so the Troupe asked Sunagakure for some protection between now and when they get to their next stop. What is the next stop? Well, obviously it's Suna! Of course, they didn't /just/ pay for protection. They also payed a bit extra for assistance with moving all their supplies, beasts, etc! How lovely…
Arika is present for this mission! Yep. The administration just loves to give her dull tasks like this, it seems. They also /really/ like to send her on missions with Gekido for some reason. Probably because they get along so well. Or something. Yeah :| Totally. "So I think we're supposed t' meet them at the docks," Arika says to Gekido, looking around the entrance to Toshi Sagan with a somewhat thoughtful expression. As thoughtful as one sees on the girl, at least.
They hate him.
This is the conclusion Gekido has reached when he'd get that latest mission. They must. It's with *her* afterall. The beast in his head growls low at Arika's presence, something Gekido ignores as he'd watch the place himself. His x-bow is still slung across his back, ready if necessary as he'd frown at the situation. "I think you're right. Guess we wait then. Shouldn't be too hard to deal with them and get out of here."
Arika ignores the growl too! Sadly, her 'other half' half does not… ~Did you want to fight now or later?~ Gyuki offers in a sickeningly sweet tone. Meanwhile, Arika just heads into town and makes her way towards the port, calling out, "Le's go 'n try t' find them, Gecko-kun!" She figures that the best way to get the mission done fast was to meet with the folk quickly so the escort could go even faster.
Shukaku growls back in response. ~Anytime. Anywhere. You and that puny host will die!~ 'Would you knock that crap off? She'd slaughter me if she wanted to! By mistake probably!' ~…~ Gekido sighs after Arika, watching her go. Shaking his head, he'd follow after her, hands in his pockets as he'd keep an eye on the surroundings while walking after the bubbly monster of doom.
~Well, at least it'd only be an accident,~ Gyuki offers in Gekido's direction. He wasn't entirely sure if Shukaku's host could hear him, but … It's the thought that counts, right? It doesn't take too much effort to get to the harbor, at least, and the Troupe is easily identified by their bright colors and some really exotic creatures in their midst. "I think that's them!" Arika points out to Gekido, whether or not he's actually behind her.
Gekido is oblivious. He's not that connected yet to the beast, afterall. So he'd just walk along, Shukaku growling again at Arika and her beast. As they'd make the docks, he looks over at the ship and sighs. "Yes. That's them. Now we get to help move their stuff too. Yay." Shaking his head, Gekido heads for the ship with light steps, keeping alert of their surroundings all the still. Never know.
Arika would start talking to some of the people in brightly covered clothes, and a few of them would point her in the proper direction to find their leader. After getting a quick rundown from him, she'd go back to tell Gekido, "We gotta make sure all their stuff is loaded onto their wagons over there." A finger indicates the wagons. "And then we can start heading back t' Suna. Easy peasy! Also, watch out fer thieves." She nods a few times before going off on her own to check on the wagons and carts, ultimately leaving Gekido to his own devices.
Thieves. Great. Gekido watches Arika make her way so easily among the people and then looks at what has to be loaded and the wagons. Setting his lips in a grim line, Gekido would get to work on hauling things. Sure.. he's able to do some stuff with nin.. and sure, he's a pretty good shot.. But he's still no super shinobi. It's hard work and slow going as he'd help move the stuff along with the rest.
The group is able to make short work of moving all the cargo. There was just one small problem. Quite literally small, as a young kid (clearly some street urchin) makes a move to snag Gekido's weapon. Him and a few others, actually. The kid aimed a stone at Gekido, seeking to distract him enough that his gang could grab the weapon somehow! Such a good plan, right??

Gekido was working when his senses would prick. Something coming in through the air at him had him duck to the side slightly. While the kids might go for the x-bow? Gekido is quicker, that bolt already loaded and cocked on it as suddenly the kids had Gekido wielding it and aiming at them. He'd frown, staring at them for a long, hard moment. "Git. 'fore I skewer ya and putcha on a spit."
The kids flinch and scatter to the winds when Gekido notices them, determining that they would have their revenge later. Revenge in the form of chaos! Mwahahaha- Ahem. Anyway, now that everything's all loaded up into the carts and such, they could move out. Only an hour's worth of work, but it was difficult. Arika still seems as energetic as ever, though, as she waves the wagons in the proper direction. "Tha' way! And then we should get t' Suna super quick!" she declares, as if she came up with the whole plan herself. … Then she appears next to Gekido. "Ne, Gecko-kun! D'you wanna watch from the front, back, or on the sides?" she asks, tilting her head slightly.
Gekido puts the x-bow back and sighs as he'd watch the kids scatter. Shaking his head, he'd finish loading, then look the wagons over. "Middle is probably best. I'll sit up on top. Then I have full field of view to shoot anything that threatens." He shrugs and looks to Arika. "Where will you be?" ~Need to know which way to shoot the monster at.~ '… really?'
Arika points with both hands. "Front and back. I gotta clone in the back so that it can easy transfer info. Anything that happens in the front should be obvious." She shrugs once lightly and then heads to her post(s). "Good luck, Gecko-kun!" The group would start heading out Toshi Sagan, but not long after departure, one of the beasts, this one kinda rhinoceros-like, manages to escape its cage and starts running around rampant! … Gee, wonder who could have done that. Of course, people can't really shoot it, either, can they… A lot of the people who work in the Troupe are running around trying to get the creature's favorite treats while also grabbing nets and leashes and such, but they also need to herd it back …

Gekido would take up his post, then sigh as the kids strike! Yeah. That's fun. ~Should of killed them.~ 'shut up.' Gathering chakra as he'd watch the beast run around, he'd focus and with a surge of chakra, make the very sand under the beast simply.. stop it. Once stopped, held within the sand, it'd easily be re-caught. Shaking his head, he'd look to Arika. "Check the rest of the cages. The punk kids aren't going to keep to just that, I'm sure."
Arika would hear Gekido's comment and nod a bit, and she'd create a number of inky creatures that would scatter to check out the remaining cages. A majority of them were untouched, but the cages to the larger beasts' homes tended to be slightly undone so that a little bump in the road could let them loose. Arika would point out the different cages to the actual Troupe members and then they'd be able to continue on their way. With little else to bother the group except for the normal hazard the Land of Wind has to offer, they manage to get to Sunagakure before dinner time! Yay!
