Arika and team are sent to escort a few important guests all the way back to Sunagakure.

"Wedding Bells - Getting the Guests"
Land of Wind
As strange as it is, Ikitara Arika, 9 year old genin, is leading today's mission! The girl is bouncy and eager to get started on this upcoming task. What was it, exactly? That's for her to know, and for the rest to find out! Messenger hawks had been sent out to a number of genin, and there was a scroll in Arika's pouch so that she could look at the map every now and then /just/ in case she forgot where she was going. Which, admittedly, could happen… Ping isn't with her, which may be even stranger if anyone knew the girl's Jounin guard(ian).
For the time being, the young girl is talking to one of the gate guards. "And then I got to meet Daisuke-nii-san! He's super nice and friendly! I wish he could come to the wedding, but I guess he doesn't wanna come cuz Meru-chin might be coming. But I dunno if he's gonna come either, cuz it was so hard to even meet him, and then there was a bunch of other stuff. I think we had to wait for twenty thousand days jus' to meet with him!" she tells the guard, who just chuckles and nods to the little girl's story.
Hiroto would get the messenger hawk, and simply send it back with a message showing he had recieved it. Not long after he would be heading to the gates with his mask on, and his bow strapped to his back for quick mobility if he needed to grab it. First thing he would see is Arika chatting with a gate guard about something or another. Tenshi would get to where she was first, and flies around in circles above her waiting for Hiroto. Then Hiroto would land calling the falcon back to his perch on Hiroto's shoulder. "Hey Arika." He waves, and greets the girl but nothing more.
Fujiko drops from a nearby roof, playing her traditional instrument. "We need more love, to supersede hatred, - We need more strength, to resist our weaknesses - We need more inspiration, to lighten up our inner mind. - We need more learning, to erase our ignorance…" The jackal sings, and sings as she attempts to keep the demon inside from getting any opportunity to bother her more.
Her playing announces her coming, her footfalls being very silent thanks to there being nothing covering her feet. The soft breeze carries her untamed hair off to the side as she keeps her tanuki-circled eyes closed. They they open, the colors are simply black and unassuming. Lines travel along her face, the result of meticulous painting as a part of her daily routine. "Hiroto. Arika. Our destinies are intwined once again. Please, if you may, brief me. My summons were vague."
Malik was lounging in his apartment when the messenger hawk came. Sinbad was napping on his perch when he read it and then sent back his reply. Later, he would be seen arriving at the meeting place dressed for a mission. His hood hung behind his head and his mask was around his neck, but he flashes Arika a smile. "Hey." He would then offer Hiroto a nod as well. "Bro." He'd say by way of greeting. Circling overhead is Sinbad, who joins Tenshi as he waits for the humans to do whatever it is they're going to. Malik simply asks the younger genin. "What's going on?"
Arika going on a mission? That means there's about a ninety-nine percent chance that Jiro is somewhere nearby. It's rare the two do anything without each other, especially something that might be so important as to be all missiony and stuff! He's chillin' on a nearby rooftop - until he spies a familiar hawk, which means a familiar genin is nearby! Blue eyes scan the grounds before Jiro does a diving tackle right for Malik in his standard greeting.
"And then- oops, I gotta go!" Arika waves to the guard and goes to greet her team. "Hiro-kun! Fu-chan! I's gonna be super exciting, I think!" the girl nods a bit and grins when Jiro does his usual Malik-tackle. "ne! So we gotta go 'n escort the Daimyo's kids t' Suna for the wedding. 's Super important." She looks around a bit. "Umm… Ma-kun and Hiro-kun, you guys keep watch for danger when we travel. 'n then Fu-chan and Jiro-kun and me can form a ring around the two kids when they're with us. For now, , we'll just travel how we like, I guess." She ponders a moment to make sure she didn't forget anything, then says, "We gotta head south cuz they're with their gramma near the ports."
Hiroto waits patiently as Arika speaks up about the mission. Sounds easy enough, and his main priority will be keeping an eye out. Once she finished he would look around before speaking. "Alright sounds easy enough. I might move a little ahead of the group then so I can make sure I spot anything well before hand just in case anything comes up. Malik could also do that if chose to." He looks to Malik before preparing making one last check on all his things.
"We need more wisdom, to live longer and happier. - We need more truths, to suppress deceptions. - We need more health, to enjoy our wealth. - We need more peace, to stay in harmony with our brethren. - We need more smiles, to brighten our evenings…" Two Hayato. Two individuals with exceptional reconnaissance ability on the sands. Two demon-bound, one far more skilled than the other. Then there was Jiro. "Oh, it's escorting the youth to take wisdom from the older generation. How lovely." The Jackal was serious too, although her current state makes glee hard. ))That's a laugh. You don't look like you care. Let me tell you a joke…(( "It's a distraction, from you. I will hear none of your somber jokes" She says aloud. Fujiko had stopped playing her instrument too long, it appears. It was talking again…
Malik pulls his hood up over his head and then attaches his mask firmly into place. His voice is slightly muffled, but it's easy to understand. "Hiroto, I leave our path ahead to you. Instead, I'll keep watch on our six. Make sure no one is sneaking up on us behind." So it was an escourt mission at the very least. As Jiro does his usual greeting, Malik takes a giant step to the left as he comments, "You really didn't think I'd fall for that, right? Arika is here, meaning that you're never far behind, little bro." He taps the side of his head. "I don't need to see you to know you're around. Your habits tell me." He then looks over at the music playing Fujiko. "Hey." He says by way of greeting. "I don't think we've met. Hayato Malik. Nice to meet you."
Jiro rolls as he hits the ground and pops right back to his feet when Malik dodges him, hands flopping on his head as he gives the boy his normal cheesy smile. "Was jus' testin' ya, tha's all," he says to Malik before he looks around at the others. When Fujiko gets grumpy about his tackle joke he just sticks his tongue out at the girl cause obviously she's talking to him. Yep! Then he turns to follow after Arika as they prepare to depart, hands still resting on his head lazily.
Arika lets everyone get into position, even as she ignores the Hachibi within her scolding Shukaku. ~Tch… So mean to your host, and in front of others, too~ he would rumble. Arika would lead the team of four (6 with the falcons) southwards to the ports, keeping at a relatively steady pace. For those unused to the desert, it might seem a bit /too/ fast, but everyone here has essentially grown up traveling in the desert or just living in Suna in general. They would arrive in about an hour with little to no trouble except for maybe a stumble here or there. "Umm… The house is this way. Hiro-kun, Ma-kun. Tell Ten-kun and Sinbad to stay in the sky or disappear for a bit. If they dun see us leave in thirty minutes, we're in trouble. Kay?" Always good to have backup plans!
Hiroto would enjoy the travel. He enjoyed the desert for the most part. It didn't take them long to eventually make it to the target house. Arika asked him and Malik to send there falcons into the sky to wait for them to come back. Tenshi does it without being told by Hiroto mostly because it is what they are used to doing when out on missions. "Alright Tenshi just make sure that if we are not back in thirty then we are in trouble." He would focus a little bit just in case something happens.
"We need more change of ourselves, to change the lives of others - We need more understanding, to tackle our misunderstandings - We need more sympathy, not apathy - We need more forgiveness, not vengeance. - We need more humility to be lifted up. - We need more patience, and not undue eagerness." »Heh. Here's a good joke for you. Why was six afraid of seven?« … "We need more justice, not injustice - We need more focus, to avoid distraction…" »It wasn't. Numbers are not sentient and thus incapable of feeling fear. Hah! That was a good one. Guess what is feeling fear? Guess? It's you.« … Fujiko sighs. That was a terrible joke, and the beast mocks her too. Jiro was looking out for her benefit, unless it was unknowingly…
Now they leave, spending time out in Fujiko's natural environment. The Jackal and her sands. Her toes would curl in that lovely material, and she would often pick up the pace and dash across the sands. Lately, she has had so much more endurance. Even more than usual.
Malik was at home in the desert. He can disappear for days on end out here. So an hour walk was a pleasant thing for him. He had tried to get to know the new girl, but she's been spouting limericks the entire trip and he gave up awhile back. Now he was just tuning her out. He gives Sinbad some hand signals and then nods to Arika. "He's aware." He's not expecting trouble, but he takes a moment to check his bow…just in case.
Traveling with no trouble means some nice relaxing traveling times for Jiro! Yep! Sure he kind of scans around from time to time but with two big birds in the sky surely nothing would sneak up on them…right? When they finally reach the house the boy looks around curiously, then looks the house over and shrugs a bit. Doesn't seem anything is too off or anything so…yawwwwn. Yep, he gives a nice big yawn. Totally professional amiright?
Arika would lead folks to the house. It was a rather regular house, neither smaller nor larger than the ones surrounding it. Whoever lived there didn't feel like standing out, by the looks of it. Arika would knock on the door of the house that was depicted on the map, and no one would reply. She frowned a bit and would knock again, this time eliciting an elderly voice calling, "A moment, please!" And so the young girl would glance back at her companions and shrug before she waits patiently. Or impatiently… Arika was bouncing in her spot by the time the door opened.
"Oh, good, you shinobi are here! Take good care of my grandchildren, please. They mean /the world/ to me." Stepping outside would be a red-headed little girl and a dark-haired boy. The girl looked a bit older, but both were about Jiro and Arika's ages.
Hiroto waits patiently. Mostly because he is yawning some, and could probably fall asleep if he let himself. Of course eventually the kids came out, and looekd to be about the same age as Arika and Jiro so he shrugged. Shouldn't be to hard. Of course Arika could be energetic even with some shinobi disicpline. Same for Jiro. Hiroto sat there thinking for a moment as he just started to get the feeling that these two would be a handful.
Time certainly has a way of erasing her memory suddenly. I mean, she thought she was escorting a cook and a performer or something. These are little kids. "Amazing things sometimes come in small packages." She would not to herself as she looks over towards Malik. There is a time and a place for everything, and he would get to know her sometime. Unfortunately, she is dealing with things out of her control. He'll have to live with the limericks for now.
Malik doesn't involve himself with the children. That's what Arika and Jiro were for. He is currently doing his job..making sure that nobody sneaks up on them. As he stands behind the group, he confers with his eye in the sky regularly. The Hayate duo continue monitoring the area, though Malik is somewhat listening to the conversation. His bow is in his hand, but there is no arrow at the ready.
While he waits for the door to be ansered Jiro just kind of looks around, appearing a little bored with the mission in general. But then, escorting little heads would be boring. Even if those heads were about his age! When they finally show themselves Jiro looks them over suspiciously as he tends to do with people he's just met and he stays silent, letting Arika the boss girl do all the talking.
The two 'heads' look back at Jiro uncertainly, but their grandma told them that the shinobi would protect them! So they just start making their way down the stairs and towards the direction of Sunagakure… Without waiting for the others! Arika squeaks a bit as they just wander off and bows quickly to the old lady. "We'lltakegoodcareofthemgottagobye!" she says as she dashes to go and get the kids. If not to make sure they are corralled in, then to make sure that they are going to be protected. "Le's go!" she calls back to her teammates if they don't spur into action.

Hiroto watches the start moving, and slowly moves along behind them. Of course he quickli changes that, and jumps on ahead of the rest so he can keep an eye out. Tenshi would fly through the air above helping him keep an eye out for any possible threats. He would listen for Arika as well though to see if she has anything to tell him.

Fujiko would bow to the old lady, before turning towards the kids. The part of the mission that was important. She would take a position behind them, since her retinue of defenses would go well in at least blocking hazards from them in some form. "The audience grows. Maybe I should break out my instrument."

Malik replies to Fujiko. "I'd love to hear you play. But that would definitely distract me right now." While he speaks, his eyes take on the characteristics of a falcon as he uses his unique bond with Sinbad to survey their surroundings. He hangs in the back with Fujiko, his task to make sure to keep a lookout from behind while Hiroto focuses on the front. He takes any mission serious, even if it's just providing an escourt.

Jiro just gives the two kids a big, wide, toothy grin as he silently wonders what type of stealable items they might have on hand. Certainly if they're important kids they should have all kinds of fluffy tails, like extra handkerchiefs or some jewelry that they certainly wouldn't miss, right? While the others are scanning their surroundings for danger Jiro walks behind the two kids scanning them for loot!
RPCOMBAT: Jiro defends against with a PERCEPTION…35
Well, who knows! The two kids have their packs all full, but they're kinda lumpy with clothes. And like all who live in the Land of Wind, they're wearing practical clothes to avoid getting too heated in the desert. Arika has a few scouts made of ink follow near their feet as she catches up to them. "Ne! Once we're outside and in the desert, make sure you stick close. Kay?" she asks the pair. They giggle and nod, but there's a look of mischief in their eyes… Almost as bad as Jiro's! Regardless, they would all get to set off in a timely fashion.
Hiroto continues on keeping an eye ahead. Nothing yet it seems. Tenshi would make a sound though. Nothing others would udnerstand except maybe Mailk could considering everything. It was different then the rest of Hayato's slightly though. Anyhow Tenshi alerted him about something being odd with the crowd, but because he couldn't tell he waited to say anything. He would tell Tenshi with his own bird calls to keep an eye on it if he could, and Hiroto himself would keep checking between the crowd, and the area ahead.

True, true distractions are bad right now. "It's a shame. I cannot play for the Daimyo's children without risking them. I suppose…" She would slip her hand beneath the cloth around her waist concealing a myriad of scrolls, before placing two in either hand in preparation. Two scrolls filled with a defensive tool in the even that an attack does make it's way towards the children. "I will have to show them a different art." A life-saving art. "When the moment arises."
Malik's attention is draw skywards as Sinbad's cry alerts him to a situation. He knew that Hiroto probably also understood it, but he speaks up anyway. "Arika. I've detected two possible targets moving against the flow of traffic. It could be nothing, but we should take precautions anyway. I suggest we move in a protective formation around the Daimyo's children." His eyes continue to scan around for anything else that seems out of place.
RPCOMBAT: Malik defends against with a HAYATO-SENSES…37
Jiro is just starting to get near the two kids, itchy fingers innocent at his sides at the moment, but then he hears what Malik has to say and so (with a pout) he looks up and around to see what's going on. "I'll stay righ' behind 'em," Jiro says when they talk about a protective formation. Protection from harm after all, not theft! MUWHAHAHA!
RPCOMBAT: Jiro defends against with a PERCEPTION…38
Arika hears Malik's report and gives a small nod, though she frowns. One of the ink-mice she made skitters onto Jiro's shoulder to peer around while Arika says, "Ma-kun, take rear. Jiro-kun and me will take side. Fu-chan, stay in the middle with them. And then Hiro-kun can keep scouting from the front." The girl umms. "If they're still following when we're in the desert, then we'll have to take care of 'em. Til then, Sinbad-kun and Ten-kun can keep watch on those guys."
RPCOMBAT: Arika defends against with a INK-SCOUT-I…38
Hiroto looks on ahead again. He figures if anything happens with the kids, or right there then Malik or the others can see it. Tenshi would be told the same, and both of them would move a little more ahead while staying in sight. He wanted to make sure if he saw anything he would have time to tell the others. His eyes help with that being able to look far ahead.

Fujiko would stay with the children until further orders from Arika. "No need to worry." She informs the Daimyo's children softly. "Even if someone was coming after you, the chances they'd get you are non-existant. That little girl and boy ahead of us? You wouldn't believe it, but they're actually powerful spirits. Spirits of the sand." She would weave that tale to calm their fears.
Malik nods once to Arika. "Understood." He then allows himself to fall behind the group. He would signal Sinbad to keep an eye on the two that was spotted before as he focuses on not letting anything sneak up on the group from behind. "I hate that we're exposed out in the open like this. But that's the nature of the desert. Luckily, Hiroto and I excel in desert combat. We'll protect these kids like we would our water. Count on that." He suddenly has an arrow at the ready while continuing to monitor their surroundings.
RPCOMBAT: Malik defends against with a HAYATO-SENSES…35
Grumbling comes from Jiro when Arika tells him to go to the side. It's like she was just trying to ruin his fun or something! Cause fun is totally what this is about, not anything else. Amirite? His hands flop on top of his head while the boy lets his blue eyes search around for any possible danger. Knowing those bird folks they get their feathers ruffled over nothin' all the time.
RPCOMBAT: Jiro defends against with a PERCEPTION…35
The shinobi would be able to continue on their paths unchallenged, but the men behind them continue to follow. It's not difficult to follow a fresh trail in the sand, though, and Arika is leading the group on the main path. Those in the sky might realize that the two trailers are seeming to get closer and closer… As if something urgent needed to happen… The group was making their way up one of the dunes, but there was still no sign of attack.
Things would continue like this for quite some time, but the members of the Suna-group would continue to be stalked until they reached the valley made by a second dune. They needed to pass through to get to Suna, but a volley of arrows and fire rained down upon everyone!

He knew it was to late for that to help, but might as well make sure. He rolls to his knee pulling a bow from his back, and aiming at the spot the attacks came from.

Fujiko's first reaction was to protect the children. In the event that she could not block the arrows with her summoning technique, she would be a bodyshield. "Get down!" She calls to the children as she places herself between them and the path of the arrows, hand behind her to shuffle them to her back as she unwinds a scroll, summoning a Fujiko-sized wooden wall perfect for reducing ricochet a stone wall would cause.. The wall appears only before several arrows had already slipped by it, sinking into Fujiko's stomach and shoulder. "Keh… These scrolls… Useless…" The speed at which she can summon them is not fast enough to be useful. She has learned this many times already.

Malik hears a cry from above and knew Sinbad was warning him. When the arrows flew towards him, the Hayato shows why he spends so many hours in the training fields. He leaps skywards, twisting and flipping over and through the arrows. He performs a horizontal flip, spinning in mid-air as he dodges the arrows to land on one knee. "I see them. Sinbad!" The falcon cries again as he swoops low to skim the top of the heads of the men to distract them while Malik begins to rapid fire arrows.

Arika squeaks and avoids the incoming blasts of fire, and she's quickly to send her own attack right back at them! "You better go way!" She huffs out, adding to the pain that her comrades are giving by making the air suddenly slam down onto the two strangers and pinning them in place after the onslaught of attacks. "Hmph…" she huffs out, assuming that that'll hit. And it just might, though it wasn't her best attack.
The archer is ready for the arrows, … Or at least, he thinks he is. Two of Malik's manage to pierce through his arm, which is sort of terrible for someone who uses both arms to fight with! And just as he's about to get away, Jiro's slicing cloth cuts a very important tendon that sends pain shooting down his arm. He's in so much pain that he can barely stumble away to escape when Arika comes crashing down.
The fire user neatly avoids the different arrows that Hiroto shoots. They're all a pretty far distance from all but Jiro, so only the Amaro would get to hear the stranger curse up a storm when he gets hurt. Then, like his partner, he ends up flat on the ground with a faceful of sand.
Hiroto would pull his bow back before looking around the area. He would check once more to make sure there wasn't anyone else before checking everyone. "So everyone alright? That wasn't to hard although it sucked to get hit by that fire." It didn't seem to leave a big mark on him though luckily. "So what next Arika?"
Malik continues in his archery stance for a few moments, bow sweeping left to right as he looks for more targets. Seeing that there isn't any, he confirms to Arika. "I think we got them all." A wink to Jiro. "Nice job, little bro." He relaxes his arms and looks to Arika.
Jiro kicks some sand onto one of the stupid folk before he runs back to the other, his sash returning to it's normal place around his waist as he grins up at Malik and nods. "Yea'! Dunno wha' they were thinkin'!" he agrees, flashing that same toothy grin to Arika and then the others. "'s'too easy!" He also happened to find this shiny coin. Surely it came off of one of the bad folks and not the kids…right?
"Le's get back," Arika says with a small nod. Looks like those guys were taken down. Arika just sorta … left them there for the time being. Not really!
