Well, it's happened. Noab's notorious deeds have inspired somebody to up the bounty on his head to ludicrous levels. Did he level a town? Tick off a mob boss? Insult the Daimyo's hairdo? Who cares, the reason can be anything which the other scene participants would plausibly come after him for. ;) And of course, there's a boatload of money to add to that plausibility.
Noab's not one for running. Even if he was, his old leg wound would make it a poor strategy. So on learning he was going to be hunted by every bounty hunter with a get-rich-quick wish, he found a good spot in the wilderness and dug himself in, literally. A small fortress of shaped earth sits in the midst of a clearing, silently warning any who approach that this will not be an easy bag. >/
«OOC» Noab says, "Well, doesn't seem like we're getting any further participation right now. X) Want to have those NPC helpers I mentioned last time, or wait for a better opportunity to do the scene, or…?"
«HAWK» Akiko says, "I suppose NPC helpers would be nice! >.>"
«OOC» Noab says, "Okay. And would you like to try the CRS, or just spoof the whole thing?"
«HAWK» Akiko says, "Can try the CRS and then spoof if it's not working out"
«OOC» Noab says, "So, in the CRS system, Noab's a +8 Ninja (meaning he has essentially 8 health and his base rolls will be 1d13 until he starts taking damage) with A-rank skill at Earth and Fire Manipulations and B-rank skill at Akimichi Taijutsu and Oversize Weapon usage. «OOC» Noab says, "Heh. X) What's your total stat points, and what's the highest rank of skill you've achieved in your styles?"

Akiko is no bounty hunter. But she is a shinobi of Sunagakure. She has been tasked with finding Akimichi Noab and capturing him so that they might be able to learn more about Konohagakure, the Akimichi clan, and maybe some good battle tactics that Noab used. He had survived this long, after all! Akiko has her falcon, of course. She wouldn't be a Hayato without Kotone! The girl had sent her falcon companion ahead to scout, looking for any cracks in the fortress that her team could take advantage of. A few arrows are nocked in her bow in preparation for either capture or injuring. "Just remember we gotta take him down alive and we'll be okay… I think we can go pretty all-out considering who he is and who we are…" she says to herself.

«Medic» Akane plots, "how are tfs dealt with in this?"
«OOC» Noab says, "Strictly speaking they aren't. You can associate them with tension levels if you like, which are discounts to chakra usage in attacks for maintaining a certain level of chakra. Right now you have 7 chakra, which puts you in tension level 1, so D-rank attacks are free, C-ranks cost 1 chakra, etc."
«Medic» Akane plots, "so it doesn't matter if she uses sharingan"
Akane had heard of the bounty on Noab's head and though she didn't have a personal grudge with the man, he was one of the few who knew she had started in Konoha and 'disappeared'. So, Kyoujin was right. Best to eliminate the threat..or possible threat. Ah well. She wore her mask, a white kabuki-like mask with accented lips and eyes and the Kirigakure symbol ont he forehead. Her clothes were all of leather and she was basically a walking arsenal. Twin swords, a belt of kunai and a belt of daggers, her hair up in it's elaborate way, hairsticks galore. She spotted Kotone and associated it with the Suna nin Akiko, thus she found Akiko first. "Going after Noab are you?"

«Medic» Akane plots, "no i mean Akane isn't well versed in Genjutsu but that doesnt matter since we're dealing with a base number decided by total states and not where those stats are placed, you said TFs don't affect and you lost me on the rest and those rolls you just did make no sense to me period."

Yeah, Noab's not gonna wait around for them to bandy words and come to an agreement. :P Noab's whiskery head pops out from one of the windows of the makeshift fortress. "GET OFF MY LAWN!!!" he shouts down as he runs through a set of handseals. There's a rumbling of earth, and the ground starts to crumble beneath the kunoichi, opening up into a spike pit.

Akiko jumps a bit as Akane comes up to her. There was something unnerving about getting approached by a masked woman with a number of weapons on her person, especially when she only had a bow and a few scrolls with her. The girl nods faintly. "Yep, I am. I guess you are too?" she asks, figuring that answer was obvious. The girl looks up into the sky, watching her falcon for a few moments before turning back to Akane. "I guess-" she breaks off as she has to avoid falling into a spiky pit, jumping the moment the ground starts to crumble and twisting so she doesn't land anywhere near the edge.
"Gah! Are you planning to kill this guy?" she asks the Kiri-nin, drawing her bowstring back and firing an arrow at the old man. The arrow has a flash-bang attached to it, allowing for it to explode in a bright flash and perhaps blinding the old man. "Or just capture?" she finishes, her attention now entirely on Akane.

Akane leapt backwards as the ground opened in a spikey pit of doom, landing upsidedown on a tree, feet and hands stuck there with chakra, she lifted her masked face to peer at Akiko. "If I can subdue him I'll take him alive otherwise his head will be enough." She jumped fromt he tree and moved throug the hand seals, channeling the chakra to seemingly come out of her mask's mouth, spitting a series of small compressed fireballs at the man.
«HAWK» Akiko just knows we hit him and now he's easier to beat
«OOC» Noab says, "Well, when I hit +0, you've beaten me. Also, for every point of damage I take, my base roll is reduced. So now instead of 1d13, I roll 1d11 at the start of every action."

Noab simply ducks back behind his wall to avoid the effects of Akiko's flashbang. "Hah! You miserable maggots couldn't make war against a wet sock on a clothesl — gah!" x.U One of the fireballs from Akane angles through the window and smacks against Noab's grizzled jowl. After slapping out the blaze in his beard, Noab pops up at another window and returns fire, literally. A streak of flame flares out toward the tree where Akane is perched. "You punk kids!" >P

Akiko nods a bit. "Alright, then. I'm looking to capture him, so let's try not to kill this guy…" She pauses. "Mind if we take him back to Suna? Or do you have dibs?" she wonders, nocking another arrow and sending it towards the Akimichi. This one is slightly heavier and would hopefully do a bit more damage if it does hit. "Nice shot, by the way," she adds, giving a piercing whistle to have Kotone come back down and land on a nearby tree for a small break.

«Medic» Akane plots, "you're going to have to walk me through this entire scene none of this makes a single bit of sense to me."
«OOC» Noab says, "Your best style rolls 1d6 unaugmented, which isn't enough. You'd need to spend 1 chakra to double that to 1d12, or 2 chakra to make it 1d24, or 3 chakra for 1d48. Or you could save the chakra and just take the hit."

Akane eyed Akiko when she asked to takehim back to Suna. "Only for a time. You can have the bounty. I want him. In Kiri.' And once he answered some questions she'd be certain to see him executed. The flame hit her in the left arm and she swore, yanking off her jacket and throwing the flaming (how did leather burn?) jacket to the ground. She scowled, her scarred back exposed for all to see. Whip marks tht seemed burned into her as much as cut, random cuts from variousattacks. She didn't much care and flew through several hand seals again, leaping forwrd and aiming for the window's 'hole' with a lesser fireball, though it might ignite the interior depending on make and size..

Noab tries to duck under the arrow from Akiko, but his girth gets in the way. >.U; The arrow grazes along his scalp, leaving a painful gash. The fire from Akane doesn't hit Noab, but it does make things unbearably hot in the enclosed earthen compound. Well, seems like things are looking bad for the Akimichi in here, so what's a grizzled veteran to do? Take the fight to the enemy, that's what! The top of the fortress suddenly smashes outwards as a huge expanding ball breaks out. The shards of earth from the shattering strangely don't fly away, but wind up orbiting the sailing sphere and then attaching to it. Then they form into huge spikes sticking out from it as it plummets down toward Akiko and Akane!

Akiko flails lightly when Noab decides to strategically fall onto her and Akane. She leaps backwards, thankfully avoiding the giant Akimichi. "Phew…" she breathes, fixing another arrow in her bow. This one is tipped with an arrow that is loaded with a net. If it works, then hopefully Noab will be trapped in place for a little bit.

Akane saw the boulder.. thing.. coming and reached into her pouch, withdrawing a syringe like an Epipen. Stepping just enough out of the way for the boulder to crash before her she looked down and aimed for Noab's neck. If she was able to inject the man he'd find himself in quite a bit of pain andunable to move. There were side effects of course, nausea, faintness etcetc but the point was he'd be down for a while…..
The earth spikes on the spinning mass of Akimichi shred through Akiko's net, rendering it useless. Akane, on the other hand, manages to get her needle jabbed in there. At first it doesn't seem to have any great effect — there's a lot more body mass for it to work on than there would be for a typical target, after all! But after a few seconds of the syringe being stuck in the meat tank and being rolled over again and again, the potent brew takes hold. Noab shrinks back down to ordinary human (Akimichi) size and tumbles a couple turns before flopping on his face. x.U
Well, that's got the bingo target neutralized! Now…how will the hasty negotiations be finalized now that the only potential danger around for the two independent hunters is each other? c.c

Or I can go to Kiri with you and we can both get what we want… Either way…" She shrugs a bit. "I'd rather bring him back to the Land of Wind, honestly… I don't want to report a mission failure." The girl's falcon flies down to perch on her shoulder, regarding Akane with a curious expression.
Akane looked at Akiko through her mask and folded her arms. "I said you can bring him to Suna first. but I get him alive and unbroken afterwards or I'll hill him before you get anything from him." Yup she was that kind of shinobi…

Noab simply ducks back behind his wall to avoid the effects of Akiko's flashbang. "Hah! You miserable maggots couldn't make war against a wet sock on a clothesl — gah!" x.U One of the fireballs from Akane angles through the window and smacks against Noab's grizzled jowl. After slapping out the blaze in his beard, Noab pops up at another window and returns fire, literally. A streak of flame flares out toward the tree where Akane is perched. "You punk kids!" >P
Akiko nods a bit. "Alright, then. I'm looking to capture him, so let's try not to kill this guy…" She pauses. "Mind if we take him back to Suna? Or do you have dibs?" she wonders, nocking another arrow and sending it towards the Akimichi. This one is slightly heavier and would hopefully do a bit more damage if it does hit. "Nice shot, by the way," she adds, giving a piercing whistle to have Kotone come back down and land on a nearby tree for a small break.
Akane eyed Akiko when she asked to takehim back to Suna. "Only for a time. You can have the bounty. I want him. In Kiri.' And once he answered some questions she'd be certain to see him executed. The flame hit her in the left arm and she swore, yanking off her jacket and throwing the flaming (how did leather burn?) jacket to the ground. She scowled, her scarred back exposed for all to see. Whip marks tht seemed burned into her as much as cut, random cuts from variousattacks. She didn't much care and flew through several hand seals again, leaping forwrd and aiming for the window's 'hole' with a lesser fireball, though it might ignite the interior depending on make and size..
Noab tries to duck under the arrow from Akiko, but his girth gets in the way. >.U; The arrow grazes along his scalp, leaving a painful gash. The fire from Akane doesn't hit Noab, but it does make things unbearably hot in the enclosed earthen compound. Well, seems like things are looking bad for the Akimichi in here, so what's a grizzled veteran to do? Take the fight to the enemy, that's what! The top of the fortress suddenly smashes outwards as a huge expanding ball breaks out. The shards of earth from the shattering strangely don't fly away, but wind up orbiting the sailing sphere and then attaching to it. Then they form into huge spikes sticking out from it as it plummets down toward Akiko and Akane!
Akiko flails lightly when Noab decides to strategically fall onto her and Akane. She leaps backwards, thankfully avoiding the giant Akimichi. "Phew…" she breathes, fixing another arrow in her bow. This one is tipped with an arrow that is loaded with a net. If it works, then hopefully Noab will be trapped in place for a little bit.
Akane saw the boulder.. thing.. coming and reached into her pouch, withdrawing a syringe like an Epipen. Stepping just enough out of the way for the boulder to crash before her she looked down and aimed for Noab's neck. If she was able to inject the man he'd find himself in quite a bit of pain andunable to move. There were side effects of course, nausea, faintness etcetc but the point was he'd be down for a while…..
The earth spikes on the spinning mass of Akimichi shred through Akiko's net, rendering it useless. Akane, on the other hand, manages to get her needle jabbed in there. At first it doesn't seem to have any great effect — there's a lot more body mass for it to work on than there would be for a typical target, after all! But after a few seconds of the syringe being stuck in the meat tank and being rolled over again and again, the potent brew takes hold. Noab shrinks back down to ordinary human (Akimichi) size and tumbles a couple turns before flopping on his face. x.U
Well, that's got the bingo target neutralized! Now…how will the hasty negotiations be finalized now that the only potential danger around for the two independent hunters is each other? c.c
Akiko lets out a relieved sigh now that Noab has been defeated. She looks to Akane and hrms. "Well… Wanna come back to Suna with me? Or I can go to Kiri with you and we can both get what we want… Either way…" She shrugs a bit. "I'd rather bring him back to the Land of Wind, honestly… I don't want to report a mission failure." The girl's falcon flies down to perch on her shoulder, regarding Akane with a curious expression.
Akane looked at Akiko through her mask and folded her arms. "I said you can bring him to Suna first. but I get him alive and unbroken afterwards or I'll hill him before you get anything from him." Yup she was that kind of shinobi…
Akiko sweat drops briefly, giving a nod of her head. "Got it. I'lol be sure to tell the higher-ups." She peers at the Noab and wonders just how she's supposed to travel with him… Well, might as well get started. Kotone is given a message to deliver to her village, requesting maybe a horse or even a form of transportation to make moving him easier. Then she grabs him and just drags the knocked out body away and towards the Land of Wind. ._.;;
