This technique is an advanced form of genjutsu kai for characters with special companions — pet users, those with transformation-based summons, etc. In the event that that user is caught in a genjutsu, their companion can assist in releasing them from it by pushing some of their chakra into the user, or vice-versa. The combined kai disruption of the user and their companion is more likely to defeat a genjutsu than a single entity using kai on themselves.
