This page holds the instructions for tagging of jutsu pages in order for them to work with the jutsu database. They are also available on the game itself on the Wiki Board, and have been copied directly from such.

Genjutsu Tagging
Both so that people know what to do in the future and also to perhaps get some help tagging things, here's the explanation for how tagging of skills works from now on, in order for things to appear in the correct places. I will list what is required in terms of tags for a given skill to appear in the desired location below, and provide brief explanations incase there are any areas of confusion.
Important note: Styles do NOT get a rank tag on the wiki. Ranks have no relevance for Styles. All Styles follow a fixed cost structure, you do not need to have a Style of X-Rank before apping a Style of Y-Rank, or anything similar. Ranks on Styles are irrelevant and I am hoping they are eventually removed on the MUSH. For the wiki, they just do not get ranks.
Genjutsu Database: These lists are for Genjutsu only. All skills on Genjutsu lists must have the tag 'genjutsu'. For ranks, replace the 'x' with the letter that corresponds to the rank of the skill. Thus, an A-Rank attack is tagged as 'arank'.

Defenses - jutsu genjutsu defense xrank
Skills, as explained on the Genjutsu Database page, are +useskills, 'passive' skills, and similar. They do not include Styles or Skill Unlocks.

Genjutsu Styles are grouped into two categories, as-explained on the Genjutsu Database page. A 'General Genjutsu Style' is a Genjutsu Style that can HYPOTHETICALLY be learned by ANYONE. This INCLUDES a Genjutsu Style that may only be KNOWN to a limited number of people (including just one!). 'Advanced Genjutsu Styles' are Genjutsu Styles that have some requirement in order to even be CAPABLE of using them that goes BEYOND just skill or opportunity to learn. This includes Clan-specific Genjutsu Styles (example: Shadow Play Genjutsu), those that require the possession
of a Kekkei Genkai (example: Sharingan Genjutsu), and those that require some special tool or other owner-based restriction (examples: a ninja item that produces a mist with Genjutsu Chakra infused into it, a Tailed Beast's special ability, etc.). This is not specifically about the difficulty of the skills within such Styles, just who is even able to learn them.

Genjutsu Transformations are very few and far between. Genjutsu Transformations are either TFs that are actively using Genjutsu over an extended period of time in order to benefit the ninja using such or TFs that are focused on benefitting Genjutsu specifically (not JUST stat-wise, but also ICly, etc.). An example of a Genjutsu Transformation that uses extended-duration Genjutsu to benefit the caster is '+transform/show Bishougan I'. A Ninjutsu-based Transformation centered on benefitting Genjutsu is '+transform/show Ju-on Mask'. Both of these qualify as Genjutsu Transformations.

Ninjutsu Tagging
Ninjutsu Database: These lists are for Ninjutsu only. All skills on Ninjutsu lists must have the tag 'ninjutsu'. For ranks, replace the 'x' with the letter that corresponds to the rank of the skill. Thus, an A-Rank attack is tagged as 'arank'.
Attacks and Defenses are considered seperate from Stealth attacks and Perception defenses.

Defenses - jutsu ninjutsu defense xrank
Ninjutsu Stealths and Ninjutsu Perceptions are Ninjutsu-based attacks and defenses with the STEALTH damage type. Do not put 'attack' on a Stealth attack or 'defense' on a perception defense.
Stealth - jutsu ninjutsu stealth xrank
Perception - jutsu ninjutsu perception xrank
Just as with 'Genjutsu Skills' in the prior post, Ninjutsu Skills are +useskills, passive skills, placeholders, etc.

Ninjutsu Styles are grouped into two categories. 'General Ninjutsu' are all Ninjutsu that do NOT have an ELEMENT. This has nothing to do with the Damage Types that a skill may possess, only the ELEMENT. A tag that explodes into a fireball is General Ninjutsu even though its damage type would be FIRE. Great Fireball Technique is Elemental Ninjutsu, because it not only has the FIRE damage type but also the ELEMENT set to FIRE.

Ninjutsu Transformations are by far the most common Transformations we have on the MUSH. Ninjutsu Transformations are TFs that are based upon the usage of Ninjutsu to achieve their effects. Regardless of what stats are
benefitting from a Ninjutsu Transformation, it is still considered a Ninjutsu Transformation. The only exception is a transformations based upon Ninjutsu that is focused SPECIFICALLY on benefitting Genjutsu usage ONLY. An example of a Ninjutsu Transformation is '+transform/show Medical Mode I'. An example of a Ninjutsu Transformation that benefits Genjutsu but is not FOCUSED on Genjutsu is '+transform/show Mangekyou Sharingan'.

Taijutsu Tagging
Taijutsu Database: These lists are for Taijutsu only. All skills on Taijutsu lists must have the tag 'taijutsu'. For ranks, replace the 'x' with the letter that corresponds to the rank of the skill. Thus, an A-Rank attack is tagged as 'arank'.
Attacks and Defenses are considered seperate from Stealth attacks and Perception defenses, just as with Ninjutsu. For a more detailed explanation, see the previous section.

Defenses - jutsu taijutsu defense xrank
Taijutsu Stealths and Taijutsu Perceptions are the same as Ninjutsu Stealths and Ninjutsu Perceptions. They just are Taijutsu instead of Ninjutsu. Do not put 'attack' on Stealth attacks or 'defense' on Perception defenses.

Perception - jutsu taijutsu perception xrank
Just as with 'Genjutsu Skills' and 'Ninjutsu SKills', a Taijutsu Skill for the purposes of the list of the same name is a +useskill, passive skill, or similar. It does not include 'Skill Unlocks', which fall under Styles.

Taijutsu Styles are split across SIX categories. They begin at the 'lowest' tier, with 'Basic Taijutsu' (unarmed Taijutsu, without Chakra usage) and 'Weapon Taijutsu' (armed Taijutsu, without Chakra usage), climb to the middle tier with 'Chakra Taijutsu' (unarmed Taijutsu that uses Chakra to improve attacks, defenses, physical capabilities, etc.) and
'Chakra Weapon Taijutsu' (armed Taijutsu that includes the usage of Chakra to increase the effectiveness of one's weapon(s), armor, and similar, as well as how well one can use such), and culminates in the highest tier, 'Elemental Taijutsu' (unarmed Taijutsu that combines Chakra Taijutsu with an Elemental Chakra Nature, such as FIRE, WIND, WATER, EARTH, or LIGHTNING) and 'Elemental Weapon Taijutsu' (armed Taijutsu in which one's weapon or the techniques used with such have the benefit of an Elemental Chakra Nature applied to such).

Taijutsu Transformations are Transformations that are based upon the usage of Taijutsu skill, combat stimulants, weapons and tools that are not Ninjutsu-based, and similar. There are more Taijutsu Styles that are 'Chakra Taijutsu' based and thus use Chakra than there are 'Basic Taijutsu' TFs that cost Stamina-only, but both of these are considered Taijutsu TFs. Regardless of the stats being benefitted, a Taijutsu-based Transformation is still considered a Taijutsu Transformation. However, it MAY be more difficult to Taijutsu TFs that do not appear to be beneffiting any Taijutsu stats approved without a thorough, logical, and plausible explanation of how it does so. Combat stimulants that can be produced by or procured from Medic-Nin is one of the most viable explanations but is by no means a guaranteed approval.

Heal Tagging
Heal Database: These lists are for Heal and Cure skills only. Skills that have multiple forms, such as Chakra Scalpel being both an Attack AND a Heal, are still labelled appropriately for their skill types. So, a page for Chakra Scalpel (Attack), such as '06jutsu-database:chakra-scalpel-attack' would be created for such a 'split' skill, and a 'Chakra Scalpel (Heal)' page would be made for the heal portion. For the rank of a given skill, replace the 'x' in 'xrank' with the letter that corresponds to the skill's Rank. Thus an A-Rank Heal would be labelled 'arank'.
Taijutsu Heals are Heal skills that are based upon skill, the individual's normal physical abilities, and the usage of any tools, instruments, or medicines that are employed in the healing process that are NOT of a Ninjutsu origin. Bandages, surgery, and the introduction of medicine (via syringe, pill, or otherwise) are all Taijutsu Heals.
Taijutsu Heals - jutsu taijutsu heal xrank
Ninjutsu Heals are much like Taijutsu Heals, but they are based upon the usage of Chakra to achieve something that is NOT possible for the individual to do under normal circumstances. This means a technique that allows one to freely control one's brain and body functions in order to enhance motor control and focus for a high-risk surgical procedure is as much a Ninjutsu Heal as repairing damaged flesh with Chakra alone.

Cure Skills are skills that remove an amount of Poison 'damage over time' from someone, or potentially even remove the Poison entirely if the Cure applies enough of a negation to the DoT that it exceeds what is remaining. Poison affects are received when getting hit with an Attack that has the POISON damage type.

Special Tagging
Special Database: This is a rather limited database at this time. The Special Database is presently just for 'Hybrid Styles' and those skills that do not fit anywhere else.
A Hybrid Style is one of the rare Styles that allow for one to apply for two or more Jutsu Types within a single Style, when ordinarily one needs a Style of the specific desired Jutsu Type in order to apply for those kinds of skills. One of the most prominent examples of such a Hybrid Style is '+skill/show Medic-Nin'. The Medic-Nin style allows one to apply for General Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Weapon Taijutsu, Chakra Taijutsu, and Chakra Weapon Taijutsu, all within this one Style. The only real caveat here is that all skills, regardless of their Jutsu Type, must conceptually and functionally fit into the Medic-Nin style's premise and intended usage. Whether one is throwing a scalpel as a projectile weapon and using Chakra to correct the trajectory (Chakra Weapon Taijutsu), or whether one is applying a bandage to a patient (Taijutsu), or whether one is rapidly growing a tissue sample from a donated organ in order to produce additional organs for those in need (Ninjutsu), all of these skills fit into the concept of a Medical Ninja, and thus the Medic-Nin style.
It should be noted that Elemental Ninjutsu, Elemental Taijutsu, and Elemental Weapon Taijutsu are NOT available within Medic-Nin style, regardless of the explanation. A Ninjutsu that disrupts the electrical impulses to the brain in order to debilitate an opponent is a canon Medic-Nin skill. However, applied for here, it would not have the Element
of 'LIGHTNING' nor would it be appable with Lightning Manipulation.
Again, Hybrid Styles are Styles that allow for more than one Jutsu Type, AS LONG AS THE SKILLS APPLIED FOR FIT WITHIN THE CONCEPT AND LIMITATIONS OF THE STYLE.
