Skill Description
"Divining Defense" is a Sharingan Taijutsu defense that goes beyond the level of Predictive Dodge, allowing the defender to both predict and defend properly against an attack they see incoming, including by using defenses they may have partially copied in the past with their Sharingan. The movements involved require the Uchiha's full efforts, as well as Jounin-level skill and physical abilities to be effective. It is not a simple matter to dodge, unlike with the more advanced Attack Prediction. This is a defense based not just on mastery of the Sharingan to avoid attacks, and powerful eyes when not using the Sharingan, but devoting one's self to making the necessary movements, blocks, dodges, redirections, feints, and other maneuvers to reduce or escape harm. When the Sharingan is added, the Uchiha also uses the pre-image of an opponent as a basis for planning said defenses. While the Sharingan does not need to be active to use this defense, it must be possessed to learn it and extensive training with lower level defenses such as Mirrored Movement and Predictive Dodge must take place as well.
