There are several types of pressure points - each is applied differently and each creates a different effect. "Pain points", for example, use tendons, ligaments, and muscles - the goal to temporarily immobilize the target, or at the very least to distract them without causing any relative damage. "Reflex points" produce involuntary movements, for example causing the hand to release its grip, the knees to buckle, or the target to gag, or even for the person to be knocked momentarily unconscious. While many of these areas can be tapped, punched, or poked to inhibit, and incapacitate, the same can be used on other tender areas of the body, especially those set along points near the chakra network, to treat. When tapped in an extremely specific order, one can reroute a masses of chakra successfully from certain chakra channels near and, around the afflicted area, enough so to stop bleeding, or even heal without the need of the medics own chakra. One with a background in medical treatment and holistic spiritual medicine, as well as the martial arts, can use this means of technique successfully with either the hands or acupuncturists needles from afar if need be.
