Repose of Souls
Chingon, or "Repose of Souls", is a Mangekyou Genjutsu technique that allows the jutsu caster to hypnotise a single subject's memory centers into being unable to recall a specific segment of time properly. This only works to prevent enemies from tampering with the subject's mind or otherwise finding the memories that were locked away via this technique. The subject himself or herself can still remember the information just fine, and can even speak of it… But intentionally revealing the memories to someone else by any means will break the Genjutsu. Unless the Genjutsu is broken, it appears to any mind-readers, body-possessors, or similar individuals that the subject who has been hypnotised has no knowledge of the information that was "forgotten".
This Genjutsu requires the Mangekyou Sharingan transformation be active in order to use it.
