The shinobi wraps themselves in wind chakra, partially protecting themselves as they try to push themselves out of the way of an incoming attack. The speed of this motion may make it seem as if the user has vanished, but a keen eye or highly skilled person can often follow the path leaving this skill of no use in true stealth. The name refers instead to the sudden nature of the motion after the appropriate seals are made, giving the illusion to the casual observer of the user vanishing. This move is accompanied by a whooshing sound as the wind blasts around the user.
