Land of Grass History
The Land of Grass has been the site of at least three major events so far in the MUSH's IC history.
Clan Wars: Sealing of the Two-Tails
The Two-Tails was defeated by Senju Hashiramako after it slaughtered a large force of Senju. Hashiramako created the Hitodama Highlands, in the Gaza Plains, by raising up a section of the terrain with Earth Release. She then did battle with the Two-Tailed Nekomata and confined its power via an enormous tree shaped like a clutching hand.
The Hitodama Highlands were rumored to be cursed and haunted by the spirits of the slain for years, but a recent event has caused a dramatic change in the overall "feel" of the Highlands. Witnesses report seeing bright lights and fire in the sky, a lightning storm that came out of nowhere, and then a great sense of peace that washed over the entire country for several minutes.
Event!: World Ninja Competition
The First World Ninja Competition was held in Kusagakure and served as a unifying event for all manner of shinobi villages as well as free agents out to make a name for themselves. The tournament was won by Okumo Meruin of Kirigakure, Kishi Mune the Medic-Nin, and Uchiha Fuyu of Konohagakure.
Event!: Death of a Daimyou
The Daimyou of the Land of Grass, Takahiro Shuichi, died on February 11th. Medical examination indicates it was due to toxic overdose of a previously unknown venom. The country mourns the loss of their Daimyou so soon after the seemingly successful World Ninja Competition that was to bring together all nations in comraderie and potential friendship. Rumors of civil war are brewing between the late Daimyou's nephew, and the high-general of the Land of Grass.
