Land of Wind History
The Land of Wind has been the site of at least four major events so far in the MUSH's IC history.
Clan Wars: Cannibal Creature First Sighted
What began as mere rumors of a human-like but NOT HUMAN figure creeping amongst the dead after various battles, EATING the corpses and finishing off those who were already near death, became open talk of an undead monster. As more encounters were had, panic arose, second only to the fear of the devastation wrought by the wars between rival ninja Clans at this same time period. Only after the formation of Sunagakure did the creature that had by then become known as "The Ghoul of the Desert" seem to cease its horrifying attacks against the living. It had been able to enter any building, bypass any guards, and supposedly anyone from children right up to ninja themselves were not safe from it. Many credit the Kazekage and the carefully selected group of advisors, administrators, and powerful shinobi that stay by Kokoroe Sousa's side as responsible for thwarting the monstrous Ghoul by transforming the abandoned City of the Sands into the current-day Hidden Sand Village. However, those without ninja protection, especially those destitute or criminal elements who dwelled in the desert wastes, were not spared from the Ghoul's attacks, even six years AFTER Sunagakure was officially established…

Announcement: Serial-killer Loose In The Hidden Sand
A serial-killing (and also mass-murdering) fiend by the name of Genjitsu Emu managed to enter Sunagakure and take up his typical evil habits. The Puppet Brigade Chief, Uudo Kara announced this unsettling news and worked tirelessly to apprehend the criminal. A public safety announcement was posted around the Hidden Sand Village at various places as well. It was believed Emu had fled from Sunagakure after a near-capture, and taken up residence in the lawless hub of criminal activity in the Desert of Knives, San-Sara Daruta. If he did, that place is no longer a refuge for him in the present.
